Thanks for watching. I wished this was available for me growing up so now I’m doing it for others. The aviation world is small. The RU-vid aviation world is even smaller.
These videos have been great so far and I've been really enjoying them. It's nice to see what the behind the scenes of a pilot's life is like. Excited to see where this channel goes!
Welcome to Oklahoma! (Even though you’ve been here before) I’m at the University of Oklahoma studying aviation. I’m 1-2 weeks away from taking my private pilot check ride. I’m glad I stumbled upon your channel, keep up the great work!
Also look on Pilot Vlogs his name is Cody and he is a corporate pilot and he talks a lot about what you are asking about. You could get a couple different perspectives.
Hey Brandon! Loving the vlogs! I'm hopefully going to be starting my aviation journey at the start of 2019 (Just graduated High School!). I just wanted to say your videos so far have really inspired me further to chase after my dreams so thank you! I got a couple of gear suggestions too if you were interested. *Below The Rode VideoMicro is an amazing mic I personally use which only relies on the camera to power it so no additional batteries. The whole setup is very easy to use, only one cable needed for mic input and is very plug and play. It also comes with an included windshield. I also noticed you carry that big bag around with you when you bring your camera. If you were interested I'd suggest swapping for a mirrorless camera such as the Lumix G7. Pros: - Lightweight and compact due to not requiring an internal mirror (hence the name mirrorless) - High quality (the camera above has 4k video capability if you were ever interested in upgrading however it records in 1080P beautifully as well) - Cheap considering what it has to offer ($800 AUD including a kit lens) Cons: - A little more heavy on the power consumption side of things as they use electronic viewfinders to preview as well as their displays (Always good to have spare batteries with these but I normally get reasonable shooting times with it) - Not the best when it comes to low light due to small sensor size All the best for your RU-vid Channel I'm very excited for future videos and can't wait to see you grow on this platform :D - Cheers From Down Under!
Brandon, I have really enjoyed your last few videos & am excited to see what comes next! I am currently training for a commercial certificate from Tulsa and agree that Albert G's has some of the best BBQ here. I would love to meet up, if you have another overnight in Tulsa sometime, and chat about your career!
Awesome! Good luck with training and thanks for watching. I need to start keeping a list of best bbq per city and then do a competition. What do you think?
Awesome insight! Looking forward to future videos! What was your route to get into American? Im at 1200 hours flying over seas as pic in turbo props and and sic in a few turbo fans. If I paid for my own atp would recruiters consider me or do I still need to fly for a regional?.. thanks!
Soon enough I will be making a video on my path to the airlines. Stay tuned! I don’t have a dedicated RU-vid email yet. I’ll look into creating one to help out people with questions.
Just subscribed! Very nice videos! Maybe you can hook up with fellow blogger Swayne Martin who is posting videos about about his training with American Airlines right now. I think he is about to fly an embraer... it would be great for you guys to do an occassional co-video!
