You can really see the husky in her face. As soon as she stepped in it was obvious, but as soon as she started singing the song of her people it was absolutely confirmed.
We had a whole litter of pit bull husky mixes come into the shelter, so I recognized this cutie right away! My friend wound up adopting one, and she had just the sweetest personality you've ever seen on a dog. She was never once aggressive with any of us, so imagine our surprise when we were out for a walk one day and an aggressive loose neighborhood dog started growling at us. She turned into the scariest dog you've ever seen in your life! Then the second that dog ran off, she was back to a cute little angel again!
Those are some good guard dog instincts; knowing not only how to recognize a threat, but also how to calm down when the threat has passed. I can believe you about the sweetness, though; vast majority of pitties I've met have been sweet, snuggly angels... Until I tried to trim their nails. Then, they were crybabies.
I had a Pitsky(Pitbull Husky mix) he was such a sweet dog. He was black and white with black spots, hence why we called him Pinto. He was really good at hunting, I once saw him kill a bird mid flight. Also very muscular and energetic, they require lots of exercise. Incredibly friendly towards everyone. God I miss him.
Thats very accurate the husky and pit breeds. They literally live for a moment like that. The ability to show the pack that she’s the best to play with and the best to protect the pack ❤️❤️❤️
@@tomdubois3062 My second boxer--also humorously named Leia after the Star Wars princess-turned-General--grabbed a bird out of the sky mid-flight once, too! I was not there to witness, as we were at my parents' house and I happened to be on an errand when it happened, but my dad SWEARS she just straight-up snatched the bird from the sky when it flew just a wee bit too low. He said it was the wildest thing he'd ever seen a dog do, and nicknamed her The Huntress from that point on.
I was genuinely laughing my back-end off when I first saw her and went "Pitbull and Boxer?" due to the ears and the way she walked. Soooooon as the voice came out I was like "NOPE" and instantly recognised hahah
Expectation: fearsome pit fighter+arctic wolf combo Reality: little whiny baby potato Although if you really knew both breeds, you'd know the results would be absolutely silly
I could almost hear her singing, not the song of their people but something along the lines of: "Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope!" - So adorable.
I have a pitski mix! He looks nothing like her. Every pitski I've seen looks dramatically different. He is a red nosed orange pit with the husky coating and curl tail. He doesn't sing at bath time, he just decides to look pathetic. He can absolutely be dramatic and talk though. Usually when he wants play time, or has been a brat and loses privileges. Definitely an absolute pitbull unit. Looooove this mix.
Leia could easily pass for a boxer-pit mix, just on looks. Husky-pit mixes in general don't look just like Leia here. For one, the ears are usually more rigid.
Oh my! My 3 puppers were VERY concerned when they heard Leia singing the song of her people. And all 3 tried jumping into my lap when she was having her nails done! Clearly they have much sympathy for the dreaded grooming experience and wanted to save her. 🤣🤣
The only bath issue we had with our Schnauzer was whenever my wife would run bath water in the afternoon he'd head to the tub. The disappointed look on his face though when he would find out it wasn't for him. The water had to be warm or he'd leave the tub.
The singing the song of her people definitely gave it away, but so did those beautiful big blue eyes. Such a gorgeous dog, she deserves all the pets and treats
knew she was a husky mix as soon as she started singing/whinning! She's so cute and reminded me of our adopted dog. Lana was born from a Chihuahua/Dashchund mom and a Husky dad, she looks like a mini husky with one ear down and somehow loves water but hates when we touch her paws lol
I have a dog like her except the mom was a husky, and the dad was a pitbull/boxer mix. She is the perfect dog when it comes to being around people and small children but she is very jealous and doesn't like us getting anywhere near other dogs. She also talks constantly. I would definitely get a pitsky again in the future as we love her so much and she returns that love to us
My chocolate lab, a female, who surprisingly has a very low bark…has been showing her husky a bit lately. Mind you, she has no husky. However, she will do these high pitched barks when she’s trying to get her way. She’s funny. She will switch from low to high in just a few minutes. 😆 Depends on who she’s talking to
@@aliciamarie9704 My last two dogs was a pit-mix (my mom called her a "pitdumthing", pit and something, lol! She looked pitbull enough but likely was a mixture of some kind). And our other dog was an Aussie shepherd mix. Smartest but most stubborn dog we had ever owned 😂
I have a medium-sized brown staffordshire/beagle/herding dog mix who has a totally deep bark when she hears or sees people by our house. BUT there’s been rare moments where she’ll make the husky high pitch whine with the weirdest noises attached to it. It’s so funny lmao
our lab does the same lol, she has such a low normal bark but if she wants something (usually more food or outside time) she’ll get all high pitched and whiny-bark until she gets what she wants 🤣
Hehe I work at a dog daycare and a former coworker of mine still brings her dog Bella in from time to time when she's working at her new job. Bella is also a Pittsky (Pitbull huskey mix) and boy does she have a pair of pipes on her. She has separation anxiety and spends a lot of time by the door crying and you can hear her throughout the entire building!
On a similar story: my brother has a dachshund pit-bull mix. Yes, he's a wiener pit. Stubbornness amplified, thinks everything is play fighting, super cuddly, smart, and insanely strong.
@@Jstielo Pitties and mixes who get their personality are just so funny. They cannot walk, always strut. So damn happy and proud to be around. They really are the best damn dogs.
I met a pit bull Bassett hound mix at the shelter! All those muscles and short legs made a very very different dog; EVERYBODY stopped to look and ask what it was. She lasted 2 days before a family adopted her.
Even before she started singing the song of her people, you could tell just by those beautiful eyes that there was some drama baby in her ❤ She needs to learn to rein it in though - she'll never lead a rebellion with that attitude! 😆
@@aarushshrivastava2822 nope. I’ve got a lapponian herder-pitbull mix. She’s a potato. Absolute cuddly goober. Pits are rather sweet by nature, lots of the wrong people get them though. She’s friendly with children and our cat. Sometimes how she sleeps she looks like a burnt potato. I’d happily get twelve more pits if I could afford it and they’d end up potato babies just like her, im sure.
Leia is sooooo cute!!! I love pit mixes. They have such sweet faces and are generally lovely dogs. Unrelated to the video, but this channel really got me and my roommate in gear to getting her dog to the groomer regularly and it's been great for both the dog and the roommate! We're making the effort to integrate him to our apartment without overstressing him.
I have a Pit/Husky mix too, except mine behaves more like a Pit Bull and looks more like a husky without the big coat. It's crazy how, despite looking so different from this dog, they look so similar from the face.
What a pitiful face!!! As soon as you said she gave herself away, I knew it had to be husky! Lol!! Thanks for the great videos!! Much love from America 💗💗💗
I own a pitlab. Biggest idiot and scaredy cat I know. We put paint brushes at the top of our stairs to stop her from going down. She was tricked out of a spot by our much older boxer lab. I love her more than life itself
My last dog was probably a lab-pit mix. (The family we adopted him from just said he was a lab mix, but he really had some pittie features.) He was not an idiot, but definitely a scaredy-cat! We also had a cat at the time, and she would often sit at the top of the stairs and not let him pass. (Our entire apartment was upstairs, just with a ground-floor front door.) I’d hear him whimpering and invariably there she was, hissing and swatting if he tried to get past! Somehow he didn’t realize he was 10 times her size… On the other hand, the retriever in him was superb, and he was a natural teacher to other dogs.
Pitbull and husky is recipe for the most stubborn mix I could ever imagine oh geez lmao. Gonna take a lotta training! She's gorgeous though, love her colors, and love that glorious instrument bark whine noise thing lol
We had one!! He left us to go live with my in-laws, his choice not ours sadly lol. He has a longer white coat and is about twice her size. I think he hovers around 70lbs. They are an interesting breed but oh so amazing:)
😂😂Looking at her I said maybe mixed with Boxer....that's until she opened her mouth, the...Ugh oh HUSKY! Thanks for the charming Lea and as always hilarious human commentary!
Ive got a pittie mut, be we believe his other main breed is border collie, and he will sing for you when his nails are done. Wont do anything, not even try to move, but just sits there and screams
My parents have the sweetest Pitsky named Hank, he's very loveably and cuddly but his husky side really shows when he gives us all the sass. He doesn't sing often but when he does it's definitely a husky's song.
I have a pit bull mix, and I always have to muzzle her whenever I clip her nails. She tries to bite the clippers. I tried to get her used to them, but honestly I rarely clip her nails since her regular walks keeps her nails fairly trim. It's only in the winter time if it's snowed a lot or if I have to clip her little dewclaws.
Try a Dremel. My last dog was really frightened by clippers (I think it was the combination of the snapping sound and the tugging), and while he wasn’t aggressive, I really didn’t like stressing him out for routine maintenance. The Dremel, on the other hand, he tolerated just fine. Back then, they sold a Dremel specifically for pet nail trimming, but it was really just their basic, weakest rechargeable model without any accessories other than the sanding drums. (Also, because he had solid black claws, it was impossible to see where the quick was. With the Dremel, I could just file down gradually until I juuuuust started to see the quick emerge, but without damaging it.)
While some would have you erroneously believe that the ancient quote "The face that launched a thousand ships" was about ancient fellow princess, Helen Of Troy, it was in all actuality a prediction about this immaculate modern-day princess, Princess Leia 😍 This very well might be the most absolutely gorgeously STUNNING pupper I have ever been honored to set my eyes upon. Never have I seen eyes with such depth and beauty... Honestly, if she were mine there would be no conceivable way I'd be able to get anything in my life completed. I'd simply be too lost.. dare I say, quite possibly even hypnotized by her eyes every single day. If (by some impossible chance of dumb luck) I managed to avoid looking at her directly, I have no doubt that her beautifully melodic siren song would swiftly ensnare me and all hope of a productive day would be lost. My remaining days on this planet would be filled with making sure that her every wish and want would be granted, just to guarantee that she never had a moment of distress and was always happy and content 😊 To put it simply, she is THE most perfect mix, containing the best of both worlds within her DNA and therefore, MUST be protected at ALL costs.
