A Place with no name | Mapleshade & Appledusk | COMPLETE MAP 

Maybe the reason we're all intrigued by the novella of mapleshade is just because its one of those rare type of stories with no happy ending.Even the supposed happy ending we are given is still depressing.

Why does everyone forget about Myler? You know, the cat who tried to save Mapleshade when she was dying but she told him to go away and he left somewhere in the barn?

I'm honestly surprised at how much attention this map got. I want to thank every single one of you, the participants did an amazing job and i tried my hardest putting this project together, even though my editing doesn't look as good as i wanted it to. Words can't express how much i love how it turned out. Ps. To anyone wondering why Maple is blue in some parts- WHy the fuck not it's a pallete map let's go wild and make Maple a smurf

I honestly adore multiple animator projects so much because 9 times out of 10 they'll introduce me to a new song that I've NEVER heard of before. This song is honestly really good? Can't believe I've never heard it before. 10/10 what a bop. Anyway this map is honestly wonderful? Also that colour palette? Yes please! We stan smurf Mapleshade. I love the artwork here as well as the tweening. Everyone did such a good job!

tbh this is one of my favorite mapleshade maps I adore how it doesn't instantly villanize her but in a way humanizes her for all the struggles and bs she went through. if ashfur can get into StarClan for loving too much can I get my woman mapleshade in for being a badass and getting back at those who were indirectly responsible for killing her kids. ALSO THOSE COLORS ARE TASTY DAMN

Wo ah Holy shoot- I expected a good animation, and this not only went to the limit of good but past that to breath taking! There are alot of good animations, but none really strike me with emotions because I have learned how to fight them off while watching animatics. However, this animation just snatched that wall away and charged at my heart, nearly seizing it at the end when Mapleshade saw her kit's spirits one last time before she passed on! I did not honestly expect to almost cry- I want to say this was amazing to watch and you animators continue what you are doing!

AAAAAAAA This is amazing! I love the choice of music (Michael Jackson is my Favorite singer tbh) for these 2 characters! The plot is amazing and the colors looks beautiful, and the DESIGNS! The Designs are amazing can we just acknowledge this?! These animators did an amazing job too!! AAA I love it, good job!

If Mapleshade's clan haden't exiled her and Appledusk cheating on her she woden't be in the Dark forest.

can we talk about how the only bad thing appledusk really did was cheat on his mates? like he felt bad for it obviously and mate up with his actual mate, he never actually did anything to mapleshade other than that. meanwhile, mapleshade killed three characters, tried to kill appledusk’s pregnant wife, killed her children (albeit on accident) when she could have easily not taken them to riverclan and hidden somewhere else with them until they were old enough to cross the river. mapleshade deserved to go to the dark forest, she didn’t even try to fight for her place in thunderclan with her kits in the first place. remember guys, she killed *THREE* characters in awful ways. *THREE*. how many did appledusk kill? i’ll wait.

I can never take Michael Jackson music seriously with the noises he makes while singing (love it btw)

i love this so much- honestly one of my favourite warrior cat maps. it stands out from the others, i never had read mapleshade's vengeance, but i really understood the story told by this! most maps, you would have to read the books or the script to understand, but i understood everything just by this very map. thank you to all the animators, and the host for creating this wonderful masterpiece!

At first, I didn't know a thing about Maple and Apple's relationship. He used to be one of my favorite characters, of course, I didn't know why. Once I learned what he did to Maple, I kinda wanted to jump into the universe and delete him lmao. It's all his fault she became a fucking beast. Maple is queen.

Omg this MAP literally perfectly portrays their relationship. Most people like to think that Mapleshade was in the right, and that Appledusk deserved everything he got, but this Map shows the reality. Don't get me wrong, Appledusk screwed up big time and the Reedshine thing was literally the ultimate jerk move, but that didn't deserve death. Mapleshade, on the other hand, is literally a psychopath, naive that she could have the perfect life with him, turned into a literal serial killer to ruin and end his life after he two timed her. I will say tho, as the mom of the dark forest. Slay.

Haha I know this map is months old but I can't stop thinking about this lol. Appledusk's little tuft of fur under his chin makes him so adorable and he kinda looks like a goat I'm just saying he looks so cute even if he was kind of a jerk. Bootiful map btw the designs are so cute

Lol I know the changing colors are probably just supposed to be something that looks cool to to along with the chorus of the song but I'm still gonna read into it. However I have two theories about the color pallet changes 1.) The color shift seems to happen whenever the character's in the map do something that was never supposed to happen. The first time is when Appledusk and Mapleshade break the code, falling in love and going against the will of Starclan in the process. The scene where Appledusk falls for Reedshine- a Riverclan cat- like he's supposed to being in the normal coloration wheras the colors are 'wrong' when he's doing the 'wrong' thing with Mapleshade. The second time the colors become distorted is when Mapleshade is exiled. We know that exile isn't a normal punishment for having half clan kits, and so the clan is doing something terrible by banishing her. The colors stay off throughout the scene where the kits drown and Mapleshade is cast away by Riverclan, showing that they are making a mistake. That this is wrong. Finally when Mapleshade and Appledusk both die the colors are abnormal. Neither of them should have died this way. Obviously murder is horrible. Obviously a lot of wrongs were done that day. 2.) The color changes represent Mapleshade's volatile mental state The first time it switches is when Appledusk and Mapleshade are together. Throughout their relationship, though, Mapleshade was being deceived and cheated on. Both her view of the world and the colors are distorted. She isn't seeing things how they really are and neither are we. The second time is when Mapleshade loses her kits. This is also when she loses her sanity. She begins to hallucinate. Once again our view of the world is correlated with Mapleshade's. When she's seeing things that aren't there so are we. Finally, when Mapleshade killed Appledusk we get the color flip. This is a moment when her sanity is, once again, completely off. She's hallucinating vividly and she literally kills someone.

i loveee how the colors become all bright when they were fighting, its just like when they both were in love the colors lit up. BEAUTIFUL

Appledusk only "cheated" on Mapleshade after the kits died, before that it was just Reedshine flirting with him one sided, plus since they weren't mates anymore he never really did cheat so Mapleshade getting mad at him doesn't make any sense.

My friend introduced me to this today and I love it it’s nice and smooth and a very calming song yet the animation gets you through a lot of feelings and that’s what I love about this you and everyone else did amazing on this well done to everyone who worked on this I just love it so much 👍👍👍👍

If you think about it, starclan made her evil, they were the ones that gave her that vison of the kits.(its not confirmed, but there is plenty books where cats have dreams that lead to prophecies or events)
