Although it "seemed" like he was, Prigozhin wasn't "still involved " at the St. Petersburg summit with the African leaders. The entire reason he was still alive was to create that bridge at the summit between the African leaders and the Kremlin. Once that bridge was created, the only thing Putin had to do was wait to get as many of Prigozhin's inner circle together in a place they were vulnerable.
