A special couple of days away as I meet up with my sister to collect Aunty Teapot and take her on her last trip. We start in Kent in Teapot's home town of Westgate-on-Sea before heading to Whitstable (also on the sea), then some time in Canterbury (with a visit to the Cathedral) before heading north.....we have a stop off in Essex at the lovely RHS garden at Hyde Hall where I leave my sister to come back to London.....my sister will carry on north to take Aunty Teapot to her final resting place in beautiful North Yorkshire.

So glad YT suggested this video to view again. Nice to see you and your sister enjoying this special trip and how well she looked. (Even considering she'd just recovered from Covid.) Vivi, my deepest sympathies to you and family in your loss of precious Auntie Teapot. You did a beautiful thing in making the long journey back to the past. It was a bittersweet thing to do. Thank you for taking me along. I too love trains. The countryside is gorgeous and thank you for the tour of the village and gardens . Never have seen the like. What a lovely trip and I really appreciate your showing all of us who are not living there, it is such a treat to see it up close and personal. You and your lovely sister had a right good time! Thank her for allowing us to tag along. I can totally understand the sadness with it, it is the end of an era for you, a major part of your life has stopped and a lot of the connections to it will be gone. You've had a lots of those these past few years. Just like the rest of the world, we are all learning to let go and move along, its hard at times but the good news is we are all in it together. And I really do appreciate you sharing all the lovely spots with me here. It was a great little break filled with joy and adventure! 💜💜💜 PS, and yes to more travel Vivi around your beautiful areas!

Thank you for taking us along on your trip. The architecture and garden was fascinating and enjoyed meeting your sis. A quick share, Went with my daughter and grandkids to spread their fathers ashes in Alaska on top of a hill, the wind blew them back on us and my youngest granddaughter said ‘look, daddy wants to go back with us!’…. A bit of laughter and lots of tears flowed after that. Let those emotions out, it’s better for us. Blessings.

Thank you for sharing your lovely trip. Beautiful tribute to your Auntie Teapot. Remember you said it would be nice if we'd plant something in her memory? I planted two blueberry bushes with her in mind. Hope you are resting up from your trip. Glad you had some time away.

I kept thinking, "Aunty Teapot, did you see this?" all through that garden. I did something similar with my Mom's ashes, she is interned near our hometown. She and I enjoyed the same sort of thing. I left the hubby and ran away for 2 or 3 hours with her, it is one memory of her that stays forever. Thank you for sharing. 2 more weeks till my next knee shot, sigh... My cane is little used until those shots begin to wear off. For nearly 3 months I make it around without a problem and now the shots are wearing off so it's back to my cane! No, I will not have the surgery, one thing is I smoke and have done so for over 20 years and the other is I'm pushing 75, and the mess going round. I'll just manage. Cannas have some gorgeous blooms too! Dahlias are beautiful, I would not eat the tubers unless I was starving as you can dig them in the fall and store them over winter to replant in spring. They do multiply too. Thanks for taking us along too. (Hi Vivi's sister!) Stay safe!😁

Wow! My most favorite place, most desired place to see! Those windows are amazing! I han hardly imagine how old they are. Some of my ancestors saw the cathedral hundreds & hundreds of years ago. Thank you again for this treat!

Thank you Vivi for taking us along. So wonderful to be by the sea and yummy to the fish and chips…can’t be beaten. Canterbury looks a lovely place to visit. Like you I am bedazzled if that’s a word by the craftsmanship from those times. Those windows are themselves a work of art. But also the skill of the masons and architects who conceived and planned the building, amazing. The war horse made me emotional as well. Whenever I see Joey. …..the puppet, is that the right description it makes me want to cry. I watched the War Horse piece at the Proms many years ago (on tv not real life!) with Michael Morpurgo there and himself narrating, I think it was one of the most moving things I have ever seen. I am so glad you got to honour Auntie Teapot in such a joyful way. There is something very simple and gratifying about celebrating a life well lived by enjoying life, those that we share it with and the world around it. 🤗❤️🙏😻

I am totally in awe of the glass makers and the stones masons......it seems impossible that this beauty was created 100s of years ago! The war horse really affected me......so beautiful.......I've never managed to read the book or see the film as I think it would leave me in a messy heap!

Hi Vivi I did the trans Siberian railway in the early 80’s Quite an adventure however it never truly lived up to my expectations. Maybe a shortage of food and a staple diet of cucumbers didn’t help 😂 Glad I did it but I often wished I’d done India instead now I know I’ll never get to go there. Enjoyed your trip Thankyou x

Your trains are amazing compared to trains in US. I would have to drive 4 hours to Chicago to board a train. Every little town here has a train station but trains only run stop at major cities. Sleeper compartments are extremely expensive. Taking the train is a wonderful way to see the western part of country though.

Yes! Thank you for this video! It's really a gift! I have dreams of visiting UK, but I need new knees, hips, a shoulder and probably another fusion so I highly doubt I will ever see it in person. I think you'd be happy in a market town, out of the city. Buy a place that you can rent to all of us too! It's sure beautiful there.

I last went to Canterbury and Whitstable about 15 years ago so it was good to have a look around them again. Chips on the beach - they taste so much better eaten by the sea don’t they. You deserve some feet up time now to rest your legs and recharge.

Those windows! So amazing! Thank you for showing them to us, I’m sure I will never be able to see them in person. It’s so hard to believe they were fashioned so long ago. I loved this jaunt with you. Your sister is beautiful and seems a sweet person like you, but maybe more introverted? England is so lovely! Just look at those crisp edges in the garden, Vivi! Lol!

That was all great....watched it in 2 bits....just watched second half. I have a friend who used to live in Essex and travels back to be a volunteer in Hyde Hall....I can see why she loves it so much now.
