A shady area needn't be dull and in this video I want to show you how to plant up a traditional container using easy to grow hardy plants that love growing in the shade including plants with beautiful colouring to the foliage and some stunning autumn colour

Well presented as usual Tom. I would not have tried to fit five plants into that container, but you managed quite well and it looks nice in the end.

Hi Tom, I have a concrete trough measuring 20" length 8" wide 7" deep. It is in a shady area and doesn't get much sun. I would like to plant may 3-4 plants to add some interest that will last for a few years undisturbed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)
