I love your ideas about air stream. You discuss the musical, psychological and technical conversationally. Your open candor about the details of (what we do as professional musicians) is brilliant. Brava.

Thanks in advance of my school orchestra auditions in August 🙌🏻 Ever since my school traveled to Honolulu and less than a month later I by chance came across your Semiramide video for my next audition, I always come back here for these videos!

As a professional clarinettist I was always very relaxed about my solos in the Scherzo knowing the piccollo was preparing for their entries…..

I keep talking about the 4th mvt, but I mean the 3rd mvt. Forgot that mvt 4 is its own thing. Oops- I’ll try and edit that later.

As always... great tutorial. I get stumped with alternate fingerings on the 32nd notes, and your suggestions are really helpful. I've seen the clip of Erica Peel that you referenced, and her method is really useful. There is also a great feature of Cathy Payne from the San Francisco Symphony that is in the Tchaikovsky 4 documentary, "Keeping Score" that MTT did a few years back.

Oh wow, I don’t know of the Cathy Payne feature! I vaguely know of the MTT Keeping Score, but didn’t realize it was using Tchaikovsky 4. I’ll definitely check that out - thank you.

You are just so amazing as a player and as a teacher! I had a friend that used to say, if they play notes that high, (wait for it) , they shouldnt! In your case, you definitely should! Have a great night!

Hi there! Love your videos, you are truly a blessing! I was wondering if you have any tips or tricks to help with the piece “Menuet des Follets” particularly the Presto e Leggiero passages?

Hi! Glad the video was helpful. I’d be happy to do a video &/or give you any advice for Menuet des Follets. I don’t think I have the music for that tho. I’ll look on IMSLP, but Cld you send me images either to here or my email- richterflute@gmail.com
