Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 4 (Movement IV) with Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Phil

We need 1000x more videos from the Phil on RU-vid. This and the 5th are Tchaikovsky’s best IMO. Gustavo is best.

Omg, I love Tchaik 4 with all my soul!!!😍😍😍 I used to be able to sing through just about all four movements, and my instrument (saxophone) doesn't even exist in orchestra!😅😅😅

I've always been a fan of this number as we performed it at Shasta High School (Redding, CA) in 1969. I've seen about 10 symphonic performances and this is undoubtedly the fastest paced and most animated conducing with the most wonderful dynamic changes as well. How gauche of people to COUGH in the midst of the most quiet passage. Did they not know it was being recorded? Hint: All those microphones!

This is one of the top 15 greatest Symphonies of all time Period!!!!!

You can tell the players absolutely adore Gustavo. There is passion pouring from his baton & podium, but what he gives is received back from the orchestra with the same gusto. Bravo LAPhil & Maestro.

Thinking out of the box: musicians not wearing the usual somber attire… probably more comfortable for them too!
