RE the cotton pads - Pretty certain it’s a good thing these major fast fashion brands are making an effort to be more eco friendly. Not sure how you can comfortably sit there and complain about it. Just buy reusable bamboo ones and catch up with the times please Julie
Also retailers are having to make these decisions for us and to take the option away from the consumer, as some people have NO awareness how throwaway single use products impact the planet. I find it staggering.
I can actually confirm Primark is no longer selling the cotton pads, here in Italy they have been discontinued for a while now! They are pretty bad for the environment, so thumbs up for them for only doing reusable ones from now on 👍🏻
i love watching your videos and just find you really wholesome but at times it can feel a little bit out of touch, like your comment about zara loungewear even though you said it’s okay to lounge in primark the way you said it was as if the standard is zara, there’s a lot of people who wouldn’t even be able to afford loungewear even if it was from primark, i think as you grow on youtube just be more mindful about people can perceive comments and certain things as you don’t know who is watching and what they are going through or have gone through or how they feel about their life
@@theprodigal oh, didn’t realize you knew me so personally!! i’m making a comment as someone who wants to see her do well but knows what people are like these days, but thanks for your comment
I like you Julie and like watching your videos but i dont think you have come across well in this . The biodegradable pads will be extremely similar. The ones your using now are so bad for the environment , a little change wont hurt you but will make the planet a better place. The comment about primark clothes , most people wear them out , including yourself.
Hiya Julie , heard u talking about Atticus starting football and u bought the tops for him , u would b better with the tops from sports direct under armour ones keep them warm and less sweaty, just thought I'd say to u incase u r interested, my son used to play football so he had them
Can you do a try on haul next time Julie I like watching those and you bought some really nice pieces. Primark are really stepping up with their clothing. It's hard to see the difference between a expensive piece to a cheaper piece. Love it 😂
Hi! If you need an alternative to the cotton pads I use the cleansing circluar pads with micellar water! You can pop them in the washing machine with your clothes when it needs a wash and you’re good to go again! Defo a money saver and super effective I’ve found 💕🫶🏻
Hope you’re well, Julie. 😊 Have you seen the graphic novel version of To Kill A Mocking Bird for Atticus? I’m currently reading it and it’s a lot more digestible than the original.
I have watched your family for years and am a really big fan of all of you however in this video I don’t think you’ve come across very well. I’ve noticed your comments in quite a few videos I think it’s very clear to say money has changed you, which is something you used to be annoyed with Ana for. Saying you wouldn’t wear primark outside or let Aticus either, I remember a time when that was all you could afford but now you can afford more your looking down on others doing the same? I just think you should think before you speak a little. Remember where you came from and don’t let money decide how you treat other people.
I’m gutted to hear about the cotton pads. I fully understand that they don’t benefit the environment, but reusable don’t work for me. I use 3 pads a day for removing makeup and cleansing. If I use reusable I have nowhere to dry them quickly as the cost of heating is too much. So I’d need A LOT of pads so I have enough whilst others are drying. Also, we forget that not all washing detergents are good for the environment either, so constantly washing the pads isn’t necessarily beneficial if you don’t use a good detergent.
Would flannels/wash cloths etc work for you? Just an idea :) There are a lot of different kind of cloths with different textures. Though tbf, even if primark stops them, they'll probably still be available in boots/superdrug etc :)
