Great stories, and a reminder to myself why I decided to stop going to places like Pattaya 15 odd years back. If you've got sociopathic traits (as I do when I'm drinking heavily) it's going to end in high drama eventually. Still can't get my head around how anyone would consider drug smuggling in those places though, that's not a 'moment of madness' it's just plain stupid.

I'm a falang woman who watched so much, having a bar back in the 80s in Samui, so many Thai ladies used to ask me to write their sob stories about what they needed money for to their various boyfriends frim Europe, basically a standard begging letter. Then I started to feel sorry for these various 'boyfriends' when they showed me the letters from the punters, which is what they viewed them as. Some men can find a good women, which I have seen. That was in the 80s and 90s . Now I think its very different due to social media and the smart minded ladies.
I think it would be way harder to cheat now becuase of SM, one of the few things its good for tbh. I bet you have some good storys from your experience Julie, Get in touch with Pete, I would love to hear it.

@@thestewozshow7042RIP🙏 Didn't know Geordie Walker passed away only a few months ago, aged 64. He was a brilliant guitarist. Was awesome to see him play up close. Saw them live in pubs several times in Australia in the eighties. They were excellent live, totally rocked the foundations. 👍

Sounds like the two bars were Wonderful Beer Bar 1 and Wonderful Beer Bar 2, both on the corner of the sois opposite the Avenue. The gold card he talks about is known as bat tong, gold card, it’s the 30 baht scheme.
I saw the episode of Ste in Japan jail he’s an interesting character 😄 i am glad he got a job as a PI & managed to stay in Pattya ask him why his life is always so exciting which most people won’t want lol 😂but enjoy listening to cos his true life experiences is more fun to watch than Netflix 😄👍🏻

Having lived on and off for 25 years in Pattaya. I married a beach bar girl. I have gotten to know a lot of ladies. There is a big difference between gogo bar girls and so called beach bar girls. Most Gogo girls will eat you alive. I once knew a gogo girl that would juggle 8 boy friends at a time. Always enjoy your videos Pete.

I apologues, I ment bar girls. and I have travelled many provinces and have met many a BS farrang but this guy was legit. I think me telling the story was done so badly and made it seem untrue. Its not easy under pressure
The Thai government health care system is not free according to my knowledge but it is cheaper than for farangs. Usually you go to the government hospital and queue up to see the doctor for a consultation then he/ she will refer you to a specialist if needed. Seeing the specialist can take over a couple weeks. This all depends on the hospital. These hospitals handle hundreds of patients daily.
It's not much to pay to be returned to good health and they do a good enough job in western hospitals you can feel abandoned not in Thai hospital you'll have 6 or so nurses buzzing around you

This guy was hard to listen to. I don't know if it was the accent or his logical flow. It may have been both. I've lived in Thailand for a while. I've never been to Pattaya. I don't have a good impression of it.

You think the majority of blokes go over there to find a Mrs?? Quite a few get sucked in (pardon the pun) when they originally went purely for a bit of 'action' ..but yeah you're not really in touch with reality with that statement. 95% of the time it's purely a transactional relationship. If you really want to analyse the differences between dating in the West as opposed to SE Asia it'd be a whole essay. But I'll give you one example, I'm 5'8 but not bad looking, guess which culture I'm average/above average height in?

stay there long enough and you hear North, essan, Bangkok and southern accents and the storys are mixed up from when I was with my girlfriend or I'm making it up that I had a girlfriend etc think about it
