I really like how the Lord addressed you as Nehemiah and told you that He is giving you the spirit and charge of Nehemiah. That is powerful and wonderful.
At first thought, it SEEMS so wrong to repent for the sins of our ancestors. WE didn’t commit those sins. However, I have heard that for deliverance sometimes we must repent for the sins of our ancestors. We do see the precedent for doing this in Nehemiah, so it must be right to do. Do you know HOW the repentance works so that it covers their sin? Are we simply saying we are sorry they committed those sins, or are we somehow standing in place of all of them and speaking FOR them? Is it because we are of the same blood that we can speak and repent for them? I should look up other possible instances in the Bible where someone repents on the behalf of others. Hmmm…I think Daniel does that,too, doesn’t he?
