This is why SEAD is so difficult in real life. You need professional and extremely coordinated teams of people to do it properly and even small mistakes with timing/positioning can result in zero effect. It's probably even worse in a sim like this when "smart" scripts are added for the ground AA getting them to either use data link information to keep radars off until absolutely needed, along with **moving** after firing. In real life, attempting to stay alive is also something that hinders ground AA, which is not present here, so they can use extremely dangerous (possibly suicidal) tactics to get missiles off even when HARMs could be danger close. People are too used to "SEAD" being just firing off a HARM or two and getting a guaranteed kill from long range due to an idiotic AI not turning off it's radar and/or not moving after firing. It's not like this at all. Not to mention that there are a huge number of short range SAMs and AAA that are able to intercept larger missiles like HARMs as they come in.

Man that barcap guy @ 43:26 was supposed to barcap but didn't know how to tws targets and launch on multiple mig21 in the f15, and couldn't visually identify a hornet and killed a member of sead wing... yikes

Clearly there was an issue as Cap's plane showed he didn't emergency jettison his gear.

hummm someone has been watching too much Westwing as this is so based on the episode Proportional Response, looked fun!

Would love to see a battle of midway where you combine the most well known ships such as the entire Iowa class and the Yamato class from USA, USB (Britan), Germany, Japan, and the USSR. I'm curious as to see what would've happened with all these ships 'accidently' running into each other .

Cap - just getting around to seeing this one. Really enjoyed the video. Painful losses for the Grim Reapers, but hope you can include Skynet again on occasion in the future. Feels a lot more realistic (and challenging) to watch you all unraveling a defense like this. A whole new set of "problems" you're facing to take it apart. Different from the more common situation we see where everyone's firing off 4 HARMs at max range and then waltzing in later. The revetments for the SAMs also make gunnery and rocket attacks harder. As a long time Grim Reapers watcher, you've all come a long way in your skill and coordination. This could be your next stage of challenge ahead - but understand maybe only once in awhile so GR pilots don't get too frustrated.

Really should utilize the air to ground radar with the strike eagle. Probably one of its best features….beyond being the best jet in dcs (along with f16 of course)

This one was hard to watch. I hope lots of lessons were learnt. Try attaching your SEAD flights to your Strike packages next time.

This whole mission could have been accomplished with TALDS, HARM'S, ALCM's and SLCM'S. Maybe, when the A6 comes out we'll get the ALQ-99 stand off jammer.

Good old Homs, where there's an interesting oil pipeline terminal on the way Tripoli and Kirkuk, and an oil refinery... Why go after the railway bridges north of the city when that refinery and pipeline terminal is only a couple miles away? Is it because the munitions came to the airbase via rail?

Any battle with F-14s, F-15s and F-16s is a great day !

for f15's to be successful in a contested airspace they need long range munitions. f16's carry less weight in munitions =better in contested airspace. f15's are heavy and capable of a heavier loadout =greater punch but reduced maneuverability when fully loaded. sead needs to be taken out regardless.

I honestly dont know where I stand on this attack the US and UK did against Syria. We dont know what was going on between the pilots and Syrian authorities at the time that they shot down the plane do we? If they were arguing and the pilots were refusing to cooperate then I understand why the Syrians would think it would be a proper response with military force but if not then yes 100% I would agree with the 1999 attack on Syria.
