100% support for the logo change. If at all we have to brandish a civilizational symbol, why should it NOT be ofthis land? Hinduism is NOT just another religion here, it was born and has evolved here, since before there existed other modern religions. So hinduism is the identity of this land, its only for the legal/administrative issues we treat it as just another religion. Its not bharat's fault that it is the only ancient civilization left standing, contrary to greeks, persians, etc. All vedas and accompanying symbols are the symbols of this land and therefore represents everyone who lives here irrespective of the religion they identify with. Comeon guys, lets for once support what is ours instead of just screaming secularism and gladly accepting what was anyway imposed on us. ❤

I sincerely appreciate your explanation Dr. I am a practising neurologist in Bangalore and I am very happy to say that basic principles of Ayurveda like Dinacharya and Rutucharya help a lot both me and my patients to understand and deal with neurological issues like headaches, chronic migraines, fibromyalgia, neck, pain back pains and come out of it with minimum medications. Again, I explain them that Ayurveda is more about understanding the daily routine and how to use food as medicine rather than going through complex medication and treatments. It helps us to become aware of our mind and body that is Ayur and gain experiential knowledge about it to improve our daily life that is Veda , thank you very much again for sharing this

@projectshivoham I am a Med student currently and I absolutely agree with what u have said in the vid! recently I worked at a hospital and found that the Ayurvedic Vedyas were all wasting their degrees by becoming medical officers or nurses in the hospital! and that disturbed me! I think it is high time we start to look at our roots with pride in it rather than discarding It a pseudosci like u said!

Science is very anglo centric in current times. Everything that comes out of non-anglo community is not just viewed with scepticism, it’s also not well accepted, even if correct. Ayurveda is a great science that lost its progression due to indic cultural destruction (right from loss of our ability to read and understand old texts to people feeling ashamed to revive it). And just like any science, it will eventually evolve, once we start respecting our roots. As that will let us feel proud of studying it, scrutinise it, amend it, research and reflect on it.

I have been watching your videos for quite longer time now, and I am truly impressed by your work and the detailed explanations you provide on various topics, encompassing modern-day science and ancient Vedic scriptures. Your use of background music, particularly the chanting and shlokas, adds a profound dimension to your presentations, aiding in focusing our attention on your words. I would greatly appreciate it if you could share the names of the shlokas, mantras, or chants that you use in your videos. Being able to listen to these pieces repeatedly would greatly assist me in building focus and concentration, allowing me to immerse myself in your content even more deeply. Thank you .........

I'm an allopathy doctor, an orthopedic surgeon. I always( yes always) try to find logics in our bharatiya ancient practice. Some answers are obvious and some answer I got with experience. I give the same explanation to my patients, they accept it easily, sometimes they teach me something new - sometimes it sparks question : why? And I try to find answer rather than squashing it immediately. People on earth survived thousands of years without allopathy and the oldest practice can be found in sanatan dharma only. Our goal should to find answers for every ancient practice, think logically and make good use of it. (some old practices are still illogical, useless and mindless and most probably don't come from pure sanatan ayurveda. Those are the impurities added to our texts by invaders)

I am Christian from Kerala. I totally support this. We Indians should be proud of our heritage and culture that our ancestors has passed onto us. Ayurveda and many sciences in Vedas are some of them. Most of my friends, even some hindu people dont want the logo of dhanavanttri in nmc. Its kind of a colonial mentality britishers has left us with. Anything indian is not good ...only whatever the west dictatss is good. We love white skin... we bow down to white men . We really need to grow out of this cocoon and accept our nation and our history. We were the first in many sciences. With years of colonization our knowledge was looted. Only if we support Bharat will recover. WE NEED A CULTURAL REVIVAL OF INDIA!! I believe BJP is doing that and highly appreciate them for it.

People went to temples of Aesculapius where priests offered prayers, performed sacrifices and also prescribed medicinal baths and herbs. Not exactly scientific but this is the first attempt to build "hospitals" where people were treated en masse for illnesses. I believe Hippocrates trained at one of these temples before embarking on his pioneering work of careful observation and experimentation in the treatment of illnesses. Since Greek civilization is the root of Western civilization, it is no wonder modern doctors inducted the staff of Aesculapius as their symbol. Having said that, I support your argument that India has its own rich history of medicine and using our own symbols is perfectly fine as long patients recognize are able to recognize that symbol clearly and feel a sense of comfort from it. In a land with so many gods, just a picture of another god is not powerful enough. It has to be a more universal symbol within India. As for the doctors who make secularism their argument, what do they have to say about Islamic countries replacing the Red Cross symbol with the Red Crescent. I am a retired neurologist

Sir well I respect to the point that you are always mentioning "I am not being a sanghi" is actually pleasing them. Why we always have to make ourselves clear that we are not against you this and that. We should not care about them let them think whatever they want to think. Just ignore them and give us the knowledge.

why we always have to make ourselves clear is that, if we try to say as it is they will mark us as some religious guy who's always trying to make other people to belive that hindutva is great. But that isn't the motive of this channel. If they are given some facts and yet their mind doesn't want to belive, then their narcissistic ego kicks out and they try to portray everything said by the host in a Negative way, which results in poor circulation of the video and that leads to wastage of valuble knowledge and time. they try to make sure that this kind of videos reaches no one, this is the world we live in🤐

The new logo featuring Goddess Dhanwantari is truly gratifying, and I do concur with the expansive manoeuvre made by the National Medical Commission. However, I stand in discordance with the alteration made to the name of the country in English. Let it be India in English and Bharat in Hindi. 'Bharatam' would have been a better choice than the former name. Seemingly, the political element married with the logo lends a certain piquancy to the entire row.

You have a great channel, but humbly you are lacking in understanding. The word you are attempting to explain in minute 4:25 does not come from the word Cow, nor does it come from Latin. This "forbidden" word is Samskrtam वक्सिन् which through Nirukta we can ascertain its TRUE meaning. The root dhatu for it is वक् which is something that is spoken. The suffix -in means something that is charaterized by, in the feminine. A वक्सिन् is therefore a "curse", a "spell", an "enchantment", a "bewitching", which is the REALITY behind the intention of this modern day poison fomented by the followers of kali asura. If you keep your eyes open for Samskrtam, you will see it being used all around you.

I'm an American who recently gave up my career as a hospice nurse to pursue a BAMS degree. Up until a year ago, I was very ignorant. Honestly just like most of my colleagues in the medical field here. I developed a strange illness about a year ago. After 8 months of tests no one had any idea what was wrong with me. Just that I had some sort of flu and I was getting weaker and weaker. My father inlaw is a DO and spent a number of years working in India. He suggested I find an Ayurvedic Doctor. After 2 months in her clinic. My health improved drastically. After another 2 months of her treatments I feel about 20 years younger. The west has a lot of great accomplishments. There is so much they could learn from India if they would just stop being a bunch of pretentious idots. In my opinion I think you all should be extremely proud of your history and knowledge. Display it with honor. As for me I will be forever greatful and plan to spend some time in the future in India once I finish my degree.

I agree about the logo of Dhanwantari- God who removes the ailments. India should promote the Ayurvedic Medicine and dissuade people from seeking allopathic medicine. First of all, doctors must answer the questions asked by patients before major decisions. They should not tease them as many doctors who have bad motive of doing unwanted procedures for practice and money exist and are common. These doctors can not answer the logical questions raised by patients or attendees and instead threaten them to not treat them if they ask questions from knowledge through reading. Patients are not fools, and they know basic science and can understand many medical terms and conditions. They read only about a particular problem incomparison to general overall knowledge of doctors. Moreover, they are entitled to know about their body. When a patient asks a question and is not given an answer or given a wrong answer by a doctor or a pharmaceutical person, he is punishable under law.

I am an MBBS doctor and the only problem I have with the logo is cheap graphics (like, hire a better designer instead of copy pasting). It's actually not wrong to recognise and embrace your traditional heritage and history of Health care. We have a very ancient tradition of healing people with illnesses. It is only recollecting the heritage and not reverting back to outdated practices. But, the thing is most of the "great" medical colleges and hospitals in the country, especially the ones with a lot of clout, were established during the British Raj, and we keep reveling in that past glory. They also have buildings and halls named after western role models. But, a lot of recent colleges actually have buildings and halls named after Dhanvantari and Shusruta, etc. So, it is not that outrageous a change for many doctors, it is a good one. Coming to why some people oppose, there are always whispers about their religious and other affiliations in the circles.

The problem is, staff of asclepius is accepted internationally as a symbol for healthcare. Even pakistan has the staff of asclepius as their symbol. Moreover staff of asclepius is a simple image which can be drawn easily anywhere, but in case of dhanwantari's image, it's too much complicated. Just think of it this way, asclepius himself isn't portrayed in the symbols, instead his staff is adopted as the symbol. So what NMC could have done is, maybe taken tha kamandal or tha shankha as the symbol instead of whole murti of dhanwantari.

Such a shallow thinking. What a logic!!! Good you're not a lawyer, if this is your best argument. By that logic, why the swastikas are banned in the European countries. They are not Hitler? But it's the simple logic, that a symbol carries the essence of the object/ body/ entity it represents. Escaping the videos argument by saying what you've said, says a lot about your inability to bring something stronger and contradictory!!!

I am Dr Rama mani. I am a MBBS doctor, got finished my degree in 2012. Practicing as Family Physician. I appreciate your content and I am happy that you are trying to create awareness to many people about this logo. Actually I am happy with logo by government of India, which is having Lord Dhanwantari. But it would be even better. I always prefer to put Lord Dhanwatanri photo in my clinic also. Actually the people who are opposing the logo are only few, that is also who are at higher position. As per WHO, health is complete wellbeing of physical, mental and spiritual health. Even recently added social component also. A person's complete health always includes spiritual component, we can't separate it. First everyone must have to accept the truth. Only some people take this spiritual component lightly, they are not mature to judge things. But they argue, It is childish behaviour. In the name of secularism many people are not able to explore the real facts of their own religion and others too. The one who don't have atleast minimum knowledge, they don't have the ability to deny or oppose any decision made by elders. Especially, If someone respects their own religion, it never means that they hate other religions. Giving respect to all and them self can be practiced by all, what I feel and I do 😊

Best wishes for bringing other fellow docs into thinking about taking pride in Bhartiya heritage as well. @@achlan5000 Thank you. I am glad to know your thoughts. Basically as per my knowledge, maximum Muslim families have khuran at their home, and they read. Maximum Christians have bible at home and they read. But sadly many Hindus don't have Bhagwat Geeta at home and they don't read. When we read and try to follow our own culture, and teach these things to our kids from childhood, there will be a beautiful world ahead. Because Geeta is not only a religious book it is a great platform to learn life science. How to lead life, how to handle situations and people. When we mould ourselves to see a positive world around, nothing to hate, people or things. Yes... It is hard to cultivate, but if we are trying consciously to create a positive attitude, it is not an impossible thing.

I wholeheartedly accept this logo changing by our Central Government…but one more thing I want to request something to Government to raise our traditional medicine like Ayurvedha and Siddha…to open more colleges in this field….to bring awareness about our medicine among the public and students…. All parents and students feel MBBS degree is the only prestigious profession….As I studied MBBS,I know the values of our traditional medicine over the Allopathy….

Every Bharathiya will be happy and proud that we have stalwarts like you to put forth these great ideas with so much analysis, logic and precision. You are able to do that because of your research ,which involves hard work and determination. May you continue to do this yeoman service to Bharat. May your work be a great inspiration to all Sanathanis , most of whom suffer from a deep inferiority complex and a total lack of confidence. May your channel and its laudable work be a beacon of light to all Bharathiyas, especially the younger generation.

As much as people are indebted to good doctors, they owe action against unethical or careless doctors who ruin their body and life. Some can be respected as Gods due to their timely help. But some are as cruel as demons or criminals and are despicable due to the spoiling of body and life.

I am a designer and feel the logo could have been designed better. We are trying to incorporate our heritage in the logo but still reads out ENGLISH CHARACTERS. The result, our great heritage reduced to a sticker. The concept is in the right direction, the execution is definitely wanting. I really liked the video’s suggestion of the inverted tree. It’s symbolic and will also do good to sensitive minds out there who think we are just peddling our own heritage, their heritage. Thank you for this video. It makes you think.

I love the idea of Aswattha Vruksham. The image of a God or Goddess makes it overtly religious for some people. Symbols or shlokas are different. They carry a meaning and intent beyond the image. That's why the Caduceus was used as a symbol and not the image of Aesclepius. The Caduceus also has a yogic meaning. The central staff being the Sushumna and the two serpents representing Ida and Pingala. This symbolism has been there since the Egyptian times in the Middle-East and bears similarity via the mystic traditions that probably has a common ancestor in the greater Indian subcontinent.

Doctor here. A secular image may cause less-logical worshippers of said religion to have god-like expectations for the doctor - leading to violence. Imagine the scenario - "You have the image of the incarnation of my God on your doorstep. So I am correct to project my expectations of my God on you. How dare you intentionally let my father die despite having the powers of my omnipotent God?". Especially in a country where violence on doctors is high, we are scared to have any connection to people who may respect us as next to Gods for saving them or harm us for not saving them despite our "clear connection to God as marked on our doorstep". And I genuinely am not trying to be funny when I say no worshipper of Asclepius will have unreasonable expectations of us. The backlash is fuelled by the history of violence. Maybe we can respect our heritage in a day and age when we feel safe that nothing illogical will come of it.

The reason why aesculapian staff was chosen as the symbol of medicine is because they gave a clear description of stages of healing and preventative medicine(hygeia, panacia etc).I support using dhanvantari as the symbol of NMC because it preserves our heritage.I think why most of the allopaths were rejecting the use of dhanvantari is because it's completely related to ayurveda and not allopathy.I support the use of Indian symbols for Indian medicine.Charaka, susrutha, dhanvantari, manu and many other siddhas have given us great medical knowledge.Even modern maestros of medicine like yerlapragada have done a irreplaceable job.The funniest thing is Susrutha's statue is placed in Royal Australian College of surgeons and most of us don't even know what he has done.

Being an Indian Muslim I really don't feel that change offensive or anti secular or something. yeah secularism was one of the founding principles of Modern India but Come on we live in a hindu dominated Indian Society (and being a muslim i shouldn't even worry or feel threatened by a person's picture who i dont even worship or , with all due respect acknowledge as divine). They just did it because the Majority is Hindu ( just as the same Reason Pakistani Hindus read & write in Urdu, which is 'muslim' Language) anyway good decision because it is a substitue for something Indian/hindu instead of a pre colonial stuff. anyway i dont care. In pursuit of secularism we are forgetting our own identity and history. It's pitting the horse before the cart. If freedom of expression really exist, then why should anyone has to think twice before expressing thier viewpoints? Why is there such social stigma that of you talk about Indian history and culture you are inherently oppressive and intolerant? Something the so called intelligent "intellectuals" should answer.

Tastelessly designed logo. Focusing on dhanvantari’s siddhis would be far better and easier to integrate. And we could provide good metaphorical meanings eg Core of it should be a Dhanu bow that is Antar inside - representing the spinal column on which the whole body hangs Shankha - the doctors voice is amplifying the inner voice of the patient - like a conscious stethoscope Chakra - doctor treatment will cut through all ailments of body and mind Jalauka - the leech - ensured the treatment circulates to all needed locations Amrita kalasha - you will have everlasting health There is no need outside temples to anthropomorphize our deities making them look like humans. That’s so kindergarten approach - despite vedānta urging to go beyond form ! Stupidity is exactly what gives Hinduism a bad name.
