A quick look at what is shaping up to be a 24GHz test source, downconverter and transceiver.
It's based on a classic M/A-Com Gunnplexer with varactor tuning and around 10mW raw output power rated for use on 24.150GHz.
After some more mechanical tuning I'll likely haul it to 24.048GHz (current day narrow band center of activity in Europe) or 24.192GHz (old school center of activity, might be a good fit for an old school wideband rig).
I'll likely have to build a companion for it as nobody does wideband FM amateur radio hamming here anymore.
