This video shows an accurate, quick and easy way of aligning objects when stamping on book covers, It works extremely well on Kwikprint and Kensol hot stamping machines.
How do you get the die? I'm thinking about getting a foil stamping machine, but am afraid it would go unused because I don't have any dies. Can you make them yourself, or do you have to pay somebody to produce each die for you?
I get my dies from Owosso Graphics, but there are lots of companies making dies all over the country. You send them a pdf, or some other file type of what you want, tell them what size and they generally make it that same day. It's pretty amazing actually. They charge by the size of the die, and I'd guess that most of them are about 100 or so.
Thanks! It's a book cover made with book cloth, binder's board, 10 point board and paper. Nothing really special about it. You probably could find a video on RU-vid on how to make book covers.
Hi Layla, Used Kwikprints generally seem to be a bit over a thousand for the 86. Model 55s are less expensive. One option is to get a Kensol which seem to be much, much less expensive, I think because of their size and weight. I got my Kensol for about 300 dollars. The Kensol can do more than a Kwikprint, larger dies for example. It needs to be used in a slightly different way, but can do everything a Kwikprint can do and more.
