Thankyou for this . I have tried to contact Fox ESS to,help, without success . it’s an issue we have had since installation of a standalone pv 3 panel system augmentation with its own solis inverter. This has boosted output during the summer and has resulted in the alarm showing on the Fox system ( 14panels ) BMS and inverter indicating the battery charging (I assume) saying ‘overload’ ie fully charged . 0:05 At night the system seems to right itself and the batteries discharge as normal , then after 3-4 hrs daylight (except extreme overcast) the alarm goes on again . Been doing this for last few weeks but I am monitoring it . Been through your very helpful procedure as above a couple of times now but seems to get itself into a loop . Your comments would be most welcome. Thanks
New Fox ESS user, JA405, EP11 battery and HH1 3.7 1phase inverter. Is an error protocol different from regular start/shutdown process? The instructions document I got states: For startup: DC isolator On, Inverter On, AC isolator On, Switchboard On. To Shutdown says Switchboard off, AC Off, Inverter Off, DC off. Thanks for any clarification.
Great video, gave me the confidence to isolate and shut down the whole system and reboot, which solved my inverter video. Everything was 100% as per this video
Hi, I'm about to install a solar system that will use the FOXESS H1 6KW inverter, and am enjoying your videos, so I would like to join your community, but I can't find any information about this, could you please post a link. Thanks.
@Jason megson, I am also looking at solar options and have a solution that leverages something very similar.. approx 6kW array with Foxx 6kW inverter and 4 x hv2600 batteries (for 10.4kWh) have you had yours installed yet, and if so, I'd be interested to hear how you are finding it
@@mikedorfler7938 Hey Mike, cheers for the reply. I couldn't get the batteries I wanted, and couldn't guarantee the ones I could get were compatible with the fox inverters, do ended up changing everything for a complete system from AllGreen Energy. Hoping to get it finished off this weekend as it happens. If it performs as well as it looks, it will be great.
… will a reset sort error out alarm 222 bms charge required no reply?I’ve checked all the cables network cables are in etc nothing as been Nocked As far as I can see is it best to rest at night or in the day ? has been working all summer ok and was ok all last winter would go down to 10% no problem now won’t go below 20% and comes up with alarm 222 thanks for this great info
Hi, I have just added to my setup two more batteries making four. I used your shutdown and start-up guide which is great. you mentioned a forum to resolve any errors or problem. Do you please have a link? My problem is the batteries only show 98% and will not go to 100% in foxess cloud app. The batteries are all flashing green and the controller is green as well. the SOC is flashing all green lights. Are you able to give any advise? Thanks
Nice channel, I recently got a solar install with a Fox battery / inverter and am looking for a community / forum to join with other similar people, can you post the url of the one you mentioned in the video? Thanks
Thank you! This worked. I had tried to reset my system intuitively without success. However, following your instructions exactly has got it up and running again. So, the order of actions makes all the difference.
So glad I have come accross your channel! I have the foxess system as well with 5.2 kW's of storage so this will become essential viewing for me. I am in Somerset so was feeling a touch isolated 😉. The home assistant looks promising as well, going to give it a go. Thanks for doing these videos as well.
Did you get the HA to work? I tried and found the 502 port is not open which lets you get to the data. I contacted China support as the UK support said they could not do anything. They did reply saying they will not do nothing🙁
So glad I came across your channel. I have 7 batteries in my system that all seem to be registering ok @ ~380volts. I should be getting at least 15-16 kwh of power out of it after accounting for 10% DOD and 95% efficiency. However when I check the statistics online or on the app it seems far less, maybe around 12-13kwh being discharged over the day down to 10%. No errors on my inverter, all green lights on the battery units. I would appreciate greatly any insight or advice you might have, or if I'm just reading the charge/discharge data incorrectly. Thanks
@@iameccles any pointers on how to check what the latest firmware is? I can see the firmware I am on, just can't seem to figure out where to look for or install latest firmware. Thanks
Hi, I added two additional batteries switched everything back on but batteries are not discharging stuck at the same SOC. Does it take a while for the batteries to start discharging once you switch it back on again?
Depending on what is on the screen of the inverter, it can take up to 2 minutes and then 5-10mins for the fox app on your phone to show any movement. did you update the dip switch on the bms?
@@iameccles thanks for the reply, yes i did update the dip. The batteries started discharging after I turned on the meter/ ct feature in settings to ct. The ct setting could have been disabled by the power off when I installed the batteries may be as everything was working fine prior to that.
