Big finish is the main source of my Doctor Who fandom and probably why 8 is my personal favorite of the doctors. I actually got into them on your suggestion in the original guide videos so I'm excited to see where you go with this.
Rory stories are REALLY good. LIke no, they are some of the best, most heartwarming stories big finish produces because Rory is that perfect a protagonist. In the second boxset he becomes best friends with Lancelot who is 100% in love with Rory and their friendship (Rory sadly doesn't reciprocate) is amazing. I actually teared up at the end of Camelot boxset.
As someone who has a constant on and off again with Dr Who but tends to enjoy the more batshit high concept of classic I was only ever vaguely aware of Big Finish. I feel foolish now definitely going to check some of these out as I work on college projects. Thanks!
You mimicked my own thinking there on Colin Baker. Much improved, there. Easily my favourite Big Finish Doctor. They wrote him far, far more competently than the television show did... though that is not exactly the highest bar.
I love these quick guides to Doctor Who I've watched your other series a ridiculous amount of times now. They really added to my enjoyment of who. And I'm excited to hear what you have to say about big finish.
