Just a quick little refinish but you still put your heart into it as usual and the end result is beautiful, and I am sure will be greatly appreciated by the owner.
Your opening footage was breathtaking. And my heart longed to go back out into nature this table is exquisitely simple and stunningly beautiful. A masterful job !!
You know, all the work that goes into a piece the stripping the sanding the final finish the most satisfying part for me, is always the stain because it brings that piece to life. When I watch your videos, I get to that point where it’s like. Oh hell there it is..
I will try not to gush but it is so good to see you again. Your work, and now cinematography, are always awesome to watch. Beautiful pictures, evocative and emotional, very human. You are a craftsman in all you do! But, I'm not gushing.
Beautiful work. We still have three (rocker, dresser and table) beautiful pieces finished by your dad in the 80's/90's. Nice to see you carrying on the craft.
Indeed your opening footage is brilliant no wonder you moved ,it's awesome to see you back making video's again ,you know you will have to give us a tour of your new digs
Wow!!! Beautiful scenery at the beginning of your video. First off, your video gives the feeling of serenity. Calm and warm. The piece you worked on definitely needed your talents. Good choice for shade. Staying with the tones and hues that the wood had. Very well executed on the restoration. I'm hoping this means you will be able to resume your video's regularly. I do enjoy your work immensely. It shows how much you care for your customers projects they need repaired/restored to previous years. Bravo!!! You did it again. ❤
Small but mighty table. That is so pretty. Your customer is going to be so happy. You go such beautiful work hon. Loved the intro, the pictures were breath taking! Thank you
So good to hear you. Lovely and honest work. Great that they gave you the original oak drawer knob. Nice touch orienting the knob grain like a cup or lucky horseshoe. Best to you and yours.
So glad you are back, I was having withdrawal symptoms😂, your work is so amazing, the table couldn’t have looked better when it was new. Also, you are living in a beautiful place. So glad you are posting again, I have learned a lot watching you.
It is sure great to see a video from you... I was thinking that I hadn't seen one for a long time. I know you're moving and it takes time to settle in... This was a magical video with all that nature and beautiful scenery, then you fixed that little table up like magic. Did I miss the part where you explained the writing under the top? Anyway did you make your move already and do you have any videos of that and setting up your shop?
Good work once again! Nothing like being in nature to reboot a person's energy. Cutest doggie ever! Our furry family members help us destress so much. Thanks for bringing us another great video Trena.
Thank you for the beautiful pics in the beginning! I see you are a nature lover like me! I really enjoy watching you meticulously restore all these beautiful pieces! I've learned a lot by watching you. Furniture refinishing/restoring has become such a passion of mine!
So beautiful in its simplicity. I really like this piece. You restore things so well that it’s like it was never touched. You are an absolute master. 👏👏
The scenery is absolutely stunning gorgeous! What beautiful sweet oak table! So glad you saved this sentimental piece so it can be enjoyed for many more generations! You're an amazing furniture refinish! 😊❤
Your projects and care-taking give my spirit such a lift - even through a computer on a 2D screen I get a real, visceral sense of the sights and smells and sounds that surround you and surely contribute to the life and beauty you breathe back into these pieces of someone's history. What a gift, the work you do and these videos you share.
I'm sooooo glad to see your videos again Trena! You're in another beautiful area of the country. I hope you get as much work there as you did here and don't have too many other obligations. Congrats on the quick turn-around! Best, Angela
Your opening comment of pouring your heart into every project large or small is proven with this project. Maybe a small and simple project for you, but when you rejoined the two pieces on top, I was stunned how well it came together! It was as if there were never two pieces. Wonderful work on a job well done!
Great job (as usual ;-). Remind me why you chose brown glue to put the top back together. I'm sure you talked about brown glue in another video way back, but "doh" I forgot. Again, I like your choice to preserve some of the old "been around awhile" character, and perfect choice of stain color. • Wish you'd identified the scenic wonders at the beginning. I'd guess they are places near you. Hard not to find scenic wonder in any part of Canada. Fantastic museums put a lot of US museums to shame, like Fort Steele (mining town), Fort William (SW edge of Thunder Bay), a LIVING HISTORY historical recreation of the fur trading post, with students from local college portraying the residents, totally in character . Thanks for sharing.
I used the hide glue because that’s what they had used first. It will rehydrate with a fresh application which means less cleanup to reglue the joints. The scenic shots are our new home in Sask. and the drive from Ontario to Saskatchewan. Cheers!
Hi Trena, wow! those were some amazing opening shots. What a beautiful place. Glad to see you back in my YT feed. This was a charming project. Take care.
Hallo Trena , wieder eine sehr schöne Arbeit. Man kann sehr viel von dir lernen danke fürs zeigen. Ich wünsche dir noch einen schönen Sonntag liebe Grüße Christel ☺️👍
You have a gift for restoring things when I first seen the table I was ,,not to impressed,,,but then at the end you gave it beauty but kept it simple & the fact that her grandfather made it , made it extra special,,,loved the video I hope you have a wonderful day ❤😊
I am so glad you are back!!! I have missed you videos. I more than understand how much work is involved moving. I loved the little table! I have a roll top oak desk and chair that was made for Sears and Roebuck for my great grandfather. I'm 61 so it's pretty "seasoned" just like me! Thank you and welcome back!!!!!
Words fail to describe the beauty of the scenery you shared with us. Thank you. The table has a nice new finish. You friend is lucky. Thanks for sharing.
Trena, I've been watching your videos for a long time. I don't know what happened, but I have to say, it's nice to see you so happy and relaxed. Your older videos you seemed so stressed and almost angry, but it's obvious now you're much more at peace. I am so happy for you and I look forward to more great content!
lol - editing my comment when you hearted me - if you haven't visited these, put them on your list. Fort William was jaw dropping. Never once dropped character.
Thanks for posting another video. I've been getting a bit antsy of late, and I couldn't quite put my finger on why; until I watched your video from 10/28 (and now this one) - no John's Furniture Repair. Balance is now being restored, calm is returning, and I'm looking forward to what's next. Of course the table looks great.
