I'm a fan of the franchise. Insidious red door broke me. It wasn't remotely terrifying but I was so emotionally invested in josh and the lamberts at this point I couldn't stop crying. And the song in the credits was absolute perfection, I couldn't leave the cinema 😢

Oh man Patrick Wilson's portrayal of Josh was heartbreaking. I love horror that you can show snti horror people "here look, horror moves you, it makes you feel things, it matters"

SPOILER CLUE WARNING- I loved this movie. As a cancer survivor, it hit me pretty hard. Cried more than once during the watching of this and idk who around me was aware. I completely empathized with Sammy in her quest for pizza and it could NOT be postponed to another day. She had to have that pizza TODAY and I completely identified with that. This movie is easily gonna be on my Top Ten Horror Movies of 2024. Like TRAIN TO BUSAN, its a rare horror movie that actually hit me in the feels.

First of all that's amazing to hear you came through the other side, although I'm aware the shadow never fully goes, but that is still a huge victory. I think that's why it struck me so much because of her ability to find joy in the little every day things most people take for granted. That while she was shadowed by death, she felt so alive.

Oh I sobbed and also waited until everyone else had left so I could check my face wasn't covered in mascara. . . . . . Death of a father in films always gets me since I lost mine last year, so I was a wreck. Thank goodness for the cat.

I'm sorry to hear that Vicky, sending lots of love. I reacted so strongly emotionally because of similar reasons. Plus my cat is my world so seeing Frodo the cat in that dangerous situation really got me.

I didn’t love it as much as Part 1 or 2 but as a survival thriller with aliens, I really enjoyed my time. The characters were enjoyable and Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn were excellent together. Great review

Its definitely a problem with most film genres. At least for me i always think of john wick. The first film was perfect by itself, i mean ive enjoyed all the others, but that last image in the first film of him going home with a dog just didnt need anything else. I have to admit i havent seen any of the quiet place films, mostly because i didnt want to cry... Will have to try and be brave enough one day!

Not giving us ANY new info about the aliens or where they came from, nor letting us know how we learned that they hunted by sound and can't swim, were big mistakes, IMO.
