No because the way I see it is how Sam grew hair on her head, which indicates she has beaten cancer. She probably killed herself because she finally got to enjoy her life. She explored parts of it that she was unable to.
@@AnchoredArchilesShe was in hospice care at the beginning of the movie, so the chances of her being on the verge of death, enduring the apocalypse with no chemotherapy or medication, and then somehow coming out of it healed is highly unlikely. The end of the movie was her going out on her own terms. Otherwise, the cancer would’ve killed her.
@@AnchoredArchilesI’m pretty sure the hair loss during cancer is caused by chemotherapy, not cancer itself. Even if you have cancer, you can grow hair if you don’t get chemotherapy
That's what I thought She saved Eric and her cat Knowing she has cancer and meds will become scarce I believed she went out her way A quick and painless death compared to her body shutting down Just my thoughts
@@user-xq4qj5ow2m CORRECT, Also it was a SIDE story development. But yes basically she went to the place she wanted, ate what she wanted pizza, listened to her music and it was over. Yeah she was satisfied with Eric and her kitty living. Yes she was terminally ill and no longer wanted to suffer. Even the director confirmed it. He called it a "romantic su1cide". And yeah
She went out the quick way Cancer would have slowly shut her body down She sacrificed herself knowing that she would die slowly so she went out her oke way
I watched it in theater and it honestly really surprised me by how good it was. I took a hot minute after fully watching it, because I just had to process how amazing it was. The main characters ending for the movie was truly badass.
I've heard this twice now. Must be a movie theater thing bc I just watched it on my phone and it was good but it didn't go above and beyond like people who got to see it on the big screen did. Same as all horror movies. So whoever is reading this- since it's still in theaters go experience it that way. I'm considering it
*Spoilers* I watched it last night and I just can't stop thinking about it. It was nothing like what I thought it was going to be like. If you're going to see this expecting "War of the Worlds" then you're gonna be disappointed. There was plenty of tension and some really terrifying moments but imo, the movie was more about the two lead characters developing relationship. Joseph Quinn is such a versitile actor and he has no problem showing his character's vulnerability in this movie. When they first meet, via Frodo's intervention, Eric was really panicked and afraid, which under the circumstances is perfectly understandable. But she doesn't want the burden of having to be responsible for another person and tries to send him away, but he just keeps following her. She turns to confront him and all he says is that he's scared and he has no-one. She pitys him and decides to let him tag along. But over time, as Eric becomes her protector and carer, (she's dying from cancer) his resilience and determination grows as he does everything he can to provide her with the things she needs. His desire to help and care for Sam brings out qualities of strength and courage he probably didn't even realise he had. And Eric is a very positive role model for Sam. When Eric is having a panic attack in the sewer, she reaches out to hold his face still and tries to calm him down by getting him to regulate his breathing while reassuring him he'll be okay. By doing this, Sam remembers what it's like to actually care about someone other than just herself. Their interactions with each other and the friendship that develops between them the longer they're together, is just so heartwarming, and at times even magical. The two of them had incredible chemistry and the development of their friendship was just so real. I was totally and completely invested in the both of them, to the point where my concern for their safety created even more tension. This was an incredible movie imo, but like I said, if you're looking for a fast paced action disaster movie, this isn't it. But if you want to see some incredibly real performances from some incredible actors, while breaking your heart at the same time, this is it. And of course you have Frodo, who, let's face it, stole the whole movie.
I love the quiet place franchise but this movie was the best, it’s my favorite movie of all times I watched it just like an hour ago and I can’t stop thinking of it
The movie was so bad like we didn't get any new info on the creatures as in where they came from and how they came and what's happening in other places around the World. And the plot was insanely stupid as it was all for a piece of pizza not to mention that the nurse died so early on
wanna see this next weekend but on film 3 when its released im hoping its the humans taking back the world as we know that a high pitched noise will disable the aliens sense of hearing properly
Yeah I just commented how I watched it on my phone and it wasn't a super all engrossing experience. Horror is supposed to be experienced in a theater with a huge screen and loud audio and complete darkness. It was a good movie but I wasn't expecting too much or I would've seen it in theaters first. Now I wish I did.
@@ohohvalerie damn well hopefully you still enjoyed it and you’re totally right. The theatre makes it so much scarier. The loud noises from the speakers of the theatre when the creatures appear really gets you
Spoilers ahead! 👇 For people wondering if the main character of this movie (I forgot her name) makes it out she sadly does not make it out because she let the monsters kill her by getting a music player thingy and putting it on full blast while Eric is reading a note she gave him before he made it to the boat. Me personally I think this ending was pretty good just kinda sad
I think the next installment will be the infected areas will be able to catch one dead Death Angel and the military will do research on it and will be able to trap one in water before it dies and figure out how to kill these creatures and destroy their nest. 😊
I watched it in my local Theater and my cousin and my sister was super scared. me and my dad were not even flinching when the jump scares. A quiet place day one my rating is a 10/10
Can anyone tell me what the monsters were eating? I was very confused on that part. (When Frodo runs away and eric finds him, and all the monsters gather up and eat)
A major flaw of the movie is the horror being nonexistent, it's not the directors fault it's the monsters fault and I could list many more flaws but I don't want to nitpick. And also it's a great movie with greats humans.
Right! There are so so many of these stupid little things in this movie, there was no eye for detail. They even forgot the cgi some shots at the end of the movie to make the city seemed ruined. Just nice buildings with intact windows and cars not ruined in front of it. Next shot... everything is just obliterated. Man it got taken out of this movie so many times
I haven’t seen the movie. But just thought of the writers trying to make me believe a dying woman wanting to get a fucking slice of pizza during apocalypse type event… is reasonable is insane.
DAY ONE was okay but not great overall. Why didn’t the cat reactive with more nervousness and make some noise? Not realistic? Why did it not try to rush out of the water when they jumped? Most cats hate water. That took me out of the movie. And I understand why they wanted to focus on character building and story but the classic scares in the first two movies weren’t there like I expected. They had scares but didn’t feel the same as the first two. So overall it was a decent movie but I expected more of a suspense driven movie not some much of a character study.
I agree with you but for the water part with the cat, I don’t think that’s a big deal. He was probably just holding it really tightly, it’s unrealistic because the cat would’ve been struggling but it’s whatever
@@Lavendermonk What were her alternatives? Everything is destroyed, she can't get proper medical care because of it, she has no home, no family to care for her when her health deteriorates even further. Her passing would not be an easy one either. Just slowly getting sicker every day. I would have made the same decision.
