There is no madras the current name of the city is chennai..Sorry to burst your bubble not every tamilan is from chennai as well it is just one city in TN....I vil hear all the compositions of him in different languages whether it is hindi, telugu, tamil or even his recent iranian film released this year...Enna sona song was penned by gulzar one of the famous lyricist from india..Music composed by AR Rahman and sung by Arijit Singh...He might have pen some songs in hindi but im more concerned with music then lyrics....I can laugh at your ignorance......FYI i'm an indian who knows five languages.. Yes. This is because he is spiritually enlightened- his ego completely dissolved, just as the Buddha. This is why he seems to create magic from anything, any challenge - because he is connected to the divine (only the ego blocks that connection in all of us) and other people (like the interviewer) who are still living in their ego are so confused as to where he gets all that magic from. But we are all this divineness at our very core. It is our mind (what ARR says that distracts us and makes you go off pitch when making music) that destroys and creates suffering.

I wish language was enough to express my adoration for Rahman sir but it isn't, I wish music was enough to draw inspiration to lead this life, but it isn't. When you get into that world of silence and truth, there's nothing else you need prove or achieve, it's just yourself in you. Rahman sir takes you there with his words and music.... We love being in that place of purity so much and we wanna stay there for ever, that is why we crave for his music more and more. and it isn't just enough.

wonderful interview.... One of my favorite person and inspiration ARR ..... was astounded when he said he got his tune for Bombay BGM in his subconscious mind almost like a dream ... the only other person who got equations in is dream was legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan who got his proofs recited by his family deity Namagiri Thayar ..... This shows how such parallel minds work to get great results ..... If one is devoted so much to work like these greats, there is a possibility to touch the event horizon of such magical mind related stuff producing great results in whatever we are doing whether it is art, science or engineering.... !
