This actor in "Mississippi Burning" was so denied his flowers..So many of these actors were horrifically overlooked by the so called "academy" of all monolithic white middle aged men of the same training life perspectives, narratives and backgrounds. ( Yes, I know this is a comedy, but I am speaking of this actor's, Badja Djola ability and catalogue)
What an interesting idea! Forgot that I saw this the other day and forgot to comment! lol Cynda Williams had 'it.' She just did. I dont know if her marriage to Billy Bob derailed her but with 'Mo' Betta' and 'One False Move,' she should've gotten her due wayyyyy more than she did. That being said, Robin Givens also had 'it' but also a very bad reputation due to her bein a gold digger and kinda shady behavior. I love Robin down, but shes the template for ALOT of behavior we've seen since she came out. That aside cause it aint got nothing to do with my point lol, she was perfect as Imabelle. I couldnt see anyone else who could nail that part, at that time, besides maybe Cynda.
