Just like has anybody seen Steven Seagal who was scared of a real mobster who threatened him in reality. Just ask Sammy "The Bull" Gravano on his podcast!!! 😂😅
This scene is an inside joke for my family. My uncle's name is Richie, so my dad shouts: *"Anybody seen Richie?"* to my aunt & cousins when we visit. And if they say he's not there, dad follows up with: *"I'm gonna keep coming back until somebody remembers seeing Richie!"* 😂
Does anyone actually really know the mystery that is his true origins? Some say we never truly know... I however believe that one day...some how....some way... We will finally find out his true story of growing up as an Italian native American navy seal cop detective mob destroying Russian mafia killing chinese and Japanese martial arts masters beating and finally....throwing dogs out of car windows throwing guys and knocking them out by them only falling over man that he has always been.... One day we will know this.... And then we will know
The bartender is Nick Dimitri, boxer, stuntman and all around tough guy. He played "Street" the last fight in "Hard Times" against Charles Bronson. Nick is still kickin' at 88. Salute!
Well he sure got his butt kicked on this one, TWICE, the first time was really cool cuz after he said "get the f outta here" to Gino, Gino just BAMM! n this dummbo boxer lol guy just goes HMMPH-nik! before crashing back but what's FUNNYEST is he croaks, "..whaAAT THE FYUUUCKK!" after he gets by Gino and then just stands out like a tough guy, then when Gino turns back around he goes "get the F out of here" again, and then Steven Seagal knows he's ready so he gives him that boxer stuff n the dummy takes a shot n Gino just BAMM-P!! n that stupid dork boxer just his head goes back n AAAGHTT! n the dork boxer just falls back probably unconscious from being knocked in the face by Gino's fist roflmao
Imagine if that scenario was remade these days, those guys at the bar would all have their phones out & they would most likely be getting clobbered in the head with them by Steven & the phone booth would be gone! And prior to the beat down one of them would surely be calling Ritchie to give him a heads up on who showed up looking for him!
Say what you will about Seagal, there was a time when he was one of the biggest action stars on the planet. He had a good run until about the mid to late 90s.
+jimbobjim Tell it! action movies today can't compare such as the ones i grew up watching like steve's best and better movies from this era of modern action movies were at their pinnacle.
Dude playing Sticks is the legendary Dan Inosanto, Filipino Jeet Kun Do and Eskrima master who trained with Bruce Lee and even fought him in Lee's last movie, Game of Death. Nicest guy in real life too.
After watching this clip countless times, I've only now come to appreciate the profound silence at the end, laden with an air of utter defeat and dejection.
I fucking do. I remember watching this movie for the first time when I was about 13/14 years old on tv, and I laughed so hard I was crying in this scene, it's what made me love Seagal's 90s movies, this will always be his best for me.
@@xakariz Yeah the cue ball part made me laugh the hardest when he kept hitting people on the head with it like a whack-a-mole game. I was a little younger than you, perhaps 12.
His early work for me is honestly some of his best films. There have been some good movies in the 2000s but to me not as good as this. Hell even some of his recent work is decent.
@@ZaneTruesdale007 I don't know about that. He looks very tired in recent movies. There's this one where he's walking around with a 1911 shooting people silently, and then he got in this fight with this dude and he had to bend over all slowly while this guy is standing around waiting. It's pretty painful watching. He should have just ended his movie career in the mid 90s.
Dan its decent but its not that great nothing that stands out like marked for death or under siege. And as for the comment ending his career in the mid 90s exit wounds into the sun and belly of the beast were decent.
Fun fact. Sticks is played by Dan Inasano. AKA the reason Bruce Lee could duel wield batons. AKA the deadliest thing to come out of the Philippines since Doug Macada, the balasong, the karambit, and Rock Island weaponry. Odds are he could’ve killed Segal in a straight up fight in real life.
This, shinebox scene in goodfellas, literally every scene with joe pesci in casino/goodfellas, some Scarface scenes, wolf of Wall Street... I’m sure I’m not the only one 😂
This is, without a doubt, the greatest scene in cinematic history and it will be studied for generations by future film directors, makers and enthusiasts.
@@Dan-di9jd it would be even worse if a guy with a mutton came up to you and said, you want to get by me f*** face there's only two things stopping you, and then that stupid prison wisdom thing lol, there's only two things stopping you fear and common sense LOL God I hate prison wisdom
The guy who plays Richie Mandano's brother, Vinnie Mandano would later go on to play Christipher Moltisanti'a friend, Brendon Filone in season 1 of 'The Sopranos'. I believe his name is Anthony DeSando & if you look it up, you'll see him. It's hard to believe that he would end up on 'The Sopranos', 8 years later & on top of that, he's literally unrecognizable because of how he looks in 'The Sopranos' compared to 'Out For Justice' & vice-versa. Speaking of 'The Sopranos', another actor who's featured in this movie would later be cast for that show, as well: Dominic Chianese, Sr. portrays Mr. Mandano in 'Out For Justice' & as we all know, he would go on to play Uncle Junior on 'The Sopranos'.
I have never seen someone try to be Italian, Japanese, Russian, and some butchered version of Creole in his personal life until I met this guy. It’s like he cycles between them. What’s next, Samoan?
Honestly wasn't that bad he's half Italian anyway. I mean yeah he's a little over the top, but he was supposed to be in this scene. But yeah, he is Italian

Greatest scene in movie history! Watched it like 500 times or something. This is the only reason I stay on liberal YT for stuff like this. Thanks for posting.
For all of the hate that Seagal receives you have to give him credit for this very entertaining fight scene. Great combination of action, humor and simply being cool.
People don't know shit. The irony is everyone in that bar didn't take him seriously and they kept talking shit to him but what was the end result ? He kicked all their asses. And I guarantee it would be the same exact scenario in real life. All the keyboard warriors and tough guy trolls online who are always making jokes about him wouldn't stand a chance. In fact they probably wouldn't even have the balls to fight him and if they saw him they would walk in another direction. Because like true cowards all they can do is run their mouth especially when their safety is guaranteed.
@@punisher7772Why don’t you call him and ask if you can fellate on his nutsack since you seem to simp for him. The dude is a fraud and has. Been caught in a ton of lies lol. Dweeb….
This is the best scene Seagal was ever in. And its testament to Seagal's acting skills that the entire scene was stolen by Richie. Who wasn't even in it.
@@watfordgap6737 Imagine being a Hollywood movie star, who writes, makes and stars in his own movies, but in a scene with just him, and a phone booth in it, the phone booth steals the scene. Or the binoculars. Or the ever present huge 70s medallion. Or whatever. Sensi Seagal has many, many obvious and pathological faults, but one of his qualities is that he always allows other, lesser known actors (Phone Booth, Binos, etc) to shine. Its almost as if he underplays his own parts, just so some F list nobody like Luke Goss can get his moment in the spotlight too. So generous. So selfless. We do not deserve this man.
I remember watching the premier in New York City's Times Square in 1991. Almost the whole cast was their including Steven Seagal. I just happened to be walking by the theater on my way to meet my girlfriend when I was asked If I wanted to see the movie for free. They didn't sell enough tickets and they wanted to fill every seat. Of Course I said yes. There were no cell phones back then so I couldn't text or call my girlfriend. I sat in an aisle seat right behind Jerry Orbach who also played Investigator Lennie Briscoe on "Law and Order" RIP. Seagal sat in the row behind me in a middle seat. When Seagal fought "Sticks" the theater went ape shit. Everyone was hooting, shouting and applauding. I looked back at Seagal and he had a huge smile on his face. My girlfriend was pissed because I stood her up. She never forgave me and I didn't care. BUT IT WAS STEVEN SEAGAL!!! Is what I kept saying LOL!
I actually read that on a bar bathroom wall one night in Cincinnati around 30 years ago. I believe I actually laughed. Good stuff. :o) "Anybody seen Richie!?!?" You just don't forget things like that. lol
I don't hate on him at all even with the internet presenting multiple reasons. he will always be a legend for his movies. he actually is this good at self defense too.
I just bought myself a vintage 2001 Steven Segal action figure from the classic movie Above The Law. $50 on eBay, still in the box. It is going to take pride and place on my bedroom shelf for decades to come. What a legend.
“But there ain’t no body upstairs” 🤣🤣🤣 this has to be the most over the top Italian American Wise Guy dialogue of all time. Almost every line in this scene is hysterical.
All kidding aside.... I'm very concerned about Richie. He stopped coming to the meetings and I think he may be struggling with his feminine side. 👁️ 👁️ 👃 ⭕............. .yo
I would die laughing if I heard someone come into a store asking if anybody seen Richie just so I could yell back anybody know why Richie did Bobby Lupo
Ahhh, Bronx Tale was good, but Best of the Best ("I just came to get a beer man, shit happens") and 48hrs (Reggie and the rednecks) are far better IMO. And this is outrageous. But I love BT too
He’s retired now. Living in a rest home. Full blown dementia. But EVERY night he starts yelling out “Where’s Ritchie!?!?!? Who’s hotdog is this, yours?”
All joking and negative comments aside, this was a badass scene in the 80's, and is Segal's most iconic scene. Eventually he didn't live up to the hype or his character. However, there's no denying for the 80's this is a bad ass scene.
It's funny how Steven just randomly starts speaking like he's from Jersey or Italian in this scene when throughout the entire movie he never talks like this again hahaha
I used to work with a guy named Richie... Filipino dude, good guy... I would always remember this movie scene, when I would see him, laugh and say: "Anybody seen Richie?"
Inside info from Sonny Hurst who got hit (he was my husband-RIP) the first time they filmed that Steven used a real cue ball. Later changed up with a lighter ball.
