Ooh I had an XA2 for a while before I ended up with a mju, lovely things just couldn’t afford to keep it a the time, If I got another I’d definitely go with the og xa for the rangefinder situation haha!

Not in the slightest, I like winter here because the winter light is amazing, but when it's raining there's no sun so winter loses all of its appeal haha

Absolutely! I can contend with the rain if there's a day or two of decent light in between, but this two week straight business is not for me I'm afraid, ready for summer again already and this isn't even the worst of winter yet haha!

Mine permanently has tape over that bit and it still gets leaks haha! I've even totally taped everything on the camera and still had leaks like that, I think it might be letting light in through the lens since the lens has a rubber seal as well that deteriorates over time - depending on the angle of things it can give semicircular leaks in the middle of the frame or I guess other stuff like these ones. It's super confusing though because sometimes they're there, sometimes they aren't sometimes they've moved and sometimes they're the same ahah! A bunch of the shots in this video actually had leaks in different places, I think the Mju just has a mind of its own and if you're unlucky it'll decide to leak you up. This one is less leaky than my first one though, and I tried eeeeverything to get rid of the leaks on the first one and nothing worked. Ironically, I have a Mju ii zoom without a front cover that has perfect seals lol

It's perfect for chucking in a bag and point and shoot moves! Makes stellar photos that way too, and it'd probably be spectacular in general if it would take the silly picture the moment I press the button haha! It's great for everything that isn't timing reliant though, and I'm also glad to know that it can survive the rain! Glad you enjoyed Sam!

Yeah man I mainly just wish I had a medium format cam to take in the rain so I could make some proper photos, plastic bags and umbrellas are a bit too risky for the Mam7 and even my ole RB since my spare body is jammed currently and I don't want to risk both of them being out of order haha! I highly recommend P3200 for a super grainy contrasty look, it's like the only B/W 35mm film stock I've shot for the last year and it's very crunchy look still appeals to me greatly!

A solid plan! For the most part bad weather and cold fronts here though mean that the beach is crazy windy so no fun trying to deal with that, plus if I wanted to be making proper shots I'd take a 120 cam and I don't have any I can take out in the rain unfortunately! Maybe I can stand inside with a long lens and have someone else outside in the rain and make some portraits that way ahah!

The best bet is probably gumtree hey, I got mine there, otherwise they pop up on camera dealers pages every now and again but you have to keep an eye out and they can be expensive compared to the secondhand market!

Thanks Royce! Glad you enjoyed, crazy to hear that it has the same leak haha! I think someone else in the comments here or on my other mju video has the same issue as well, I diagnosed it as coming from the seals on the lens itself which makes it pretty impossible to fix unfortunately haha!

Dude that's so crazy that its been through all that and is still kicking! I think they're awesome too, and have the exact same sentiment about buying one haha. I got my first for $50 and then sold it during lockdown cus I had no cash coming in, but then my girlfriends dad was like "hey I have one of those" when I told him how bummed I was to have sold it. Bummer about the plastic door, my first one didn't even have it but the one I have now is quite minty so I pamper that flimsy little door! I reckon if someone got ahold of the molds for these, and machines for parts, and made a titanium version they could sell it for buckets of money lol!

@@willysheepskin Oh yeah definitely, they're crazy reliable (minus electronic failure and the fact that if they get a light leak from the back there isn't really anything you can do about that as it's a weather proof rubber than can't easily be replaced to my knowledge). I think that's what made them such popular family cameras to have around, so tough and yet such a good little lens and AF system. That's also how I got mine, my dad had it lying around and said hey do you want this? and honestly it was the first camera that I felt I could really take anywhere with me. The fuji x100s was also like that for me but not a film camera. I would love to have titanium version of it, idk what it is about titanium cameras but I'm in love with them. Wish more cameras today were made from titanium, but alas I think Fujifilm are the only ones to make a titanium camera today.

Thanks Lance! I shoot it at 3200 on the Mju since I can't be bothered to mess with the DX codes, but on my Nikonos I shoot at 1600 and dev at 3200. I kinda prefer it shot at 1600 but either way the results are super grainy and crunchy and both suit me fine for 35mm stuff haha!

I reckon if it works it probably just cuts down the standard 35mm frame size into a more panoramic aspect ratio - not really worth it most of the time since it's just cropping stuff in camera and you could crop a normal picture the same way in post! I back black and white film in it though, it's tons of fun! Glad you enjoyed Asher! #sheepsquad haha!

@@willysheepskin Ahhh that would make sense as to how the panorama button works, definitely will not be using that. Recently pick up 35mm adapters for my rb67 so pretty stoked to try out some panoramas in that! have you tried it before? I kind of like the idea of the areas around sproket holes being exposed aswell.

@@asherhodara389 I haven’t actually tried that no! Never really been super keen on the idea of pano stuff but it might be worth having play with, I have a mate with a 3D printer that could probably sort me out some bits to do it too! If I do ever decide to try it out I’ll share results haha!

@@willysheepskin Yeah I don't have much plans to shoot it often but the adapters were super cheap so I thought it would be fun to play around with. There are couple of files to print them yourself as well as a spool you can print to make it easier to keep it all straight. Stoked for the next video tho, take it easy dude!
