What if I want to use rapid detox to get off of the Suboxone. I've been on it for 7 years and it is impaired me to the point that I'm under 100 lb and it's suppressed my appetite. I want off of this medication it is making me very sad. I'm on a 12 but of course I'm trying to taper, but even getting down to 10 is very difficult only because it's making me physically uncomfortable.

Hi Heather-We have developed an 8-day outpatient detox specifically to help people transition from buprenorphine or methadone over to long-acting formulations of naltrexone. We've helped hundreds of people through this process over the last 20 years and made a lot of improvements along the way. We use tiny doses of naltrexone to speed up the withdrawal process without precipitating full withdrawal. We also customize a set of comfort medications to help manage any symptoms that do appear. When we've surveyed our patients, most of them report that their detox using the Coleman Method was easier and more comfortable that other approaches they have tried. Hope that helps!

I hope you have found some relief and are tapered or maybe even all the way off. Buprenephrine (suboxone) was the WORSE detox for me. I got off 10 years ago after using for 2 years. My dr was a quack he was a pill mill dr then turned suboxone pusher, prescribing me 60 mgs a month. Never tapered me or anything. I'm not clean right now and moved to fentanyl but I will NEVER use MAT again.

It’s funny I went to a detox multiple times and after one cold turkey a nurse said “ you’re over the hard part” I looked at her and said that was the easy part, the hard part is staying sober.

@SAMEntalhealth

They'll give you fentanyl it'll break right through the blocker lol

They will pump you full of Diladud till your pain is manageable but you have to have legitimate pain and that's debatable now days. I've talked to people that have had hip replacements surgery and where sent home the same day with few Vicotins so your pain better be kidney stone pain. Even broken bones pain is managed with the cast and Tylenol

@utrube no they won't. It happened to me you will have to suffer in pain. Keep some ketamine on hand if you're so worried about it

I did rapid detox twice first time in Detroit and second time at Pontiac memorial hospital the old one. It was done overnight than i went to believe it or not motel for 3 days where nurse would come twice a day to check on you and give you meds. Payed $9000 first time and $8000 second time. First time was successful and i drove home by myself second time they didn't flush all the crap out my system do i was dope sick for a week but again better than cold turkey. What hes talking about Naltrexone therapy is one bottle of Naltrexone pills or small implant in your belly so idea is it would stop you from using. Too expensive bro.

Hi Judith-Unfortunately not-the landscape is really complex and varies by state and an individual’s income level. FWIW our detox program in Richmond, VA is currently covered by many Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Optima, and Humana health plans. Best wishes!

Do you have rapid detox for klonopin? I've been in tolerance withdrawal for 6 months dealing with nonstop dissociation and derealization brought on by tolerance build up. Is there anyone who's been successful in this who can do a video on here?

Honestly benzos aren't that hard to get off if you do a taper. I was on Xanax for 3 years and did a very slow taper and had virtually no withdrawal symptoms

Not yet, Judith. We are currently in-network with many Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Optima, and Humana commercial plans in our Richmond, VA office. We are in negotiations with other national payers to expand their coverage.
