Any high street Jeweller would have tested the coin in 2mins and paid fair market scrap value on the day without any auction fees .

All jewellery that goes to scrap on this program the same outcome applies. Obviously!
@johnallright6847

@@michaelolson6982 the difference is there is no middleman / woman dealer or auctioneer getting a wage out of the deal, my point being its probably gold dealers/ antique dealers that buy it at auction prices plus commission and why sell it to an antique dealer who tries with the help of David to nibble maybe 20% or 30 % of the price that you could get for scrap at any high street jewellers. Fair enough that the customer has to do a bit of homework themselves on weight/ what carot / quality of gold and allso these dealers allways make out it's scrap when most of the time they sell it on as an article of value or an antique which usually far exceeds the scrap value. When you have been in the game you can tell all the bluster and fancy Suits and I am doing you a favour bs.

@@johnallright6847 under English law she committed a criminal offence making out it was either 9ct or 18ct NO MENTION OF 20CT! That means she lied about the true value, under English law your NOT ALLOWED TO MISLEAD THE SELLER THAT ALISON (BITCH) SHOULD BE PROSECUTED!

@@The.Best.Collector yea can only agree as a lot of gold coins are 22ct and she never mentioned that either. My main gripe is really with David as he is supposed to be there to make sure that the dealers don't rip off the punters and he likes to pretend he is helping them when really he is helping the dealers take advantage of vulnerable and unknowledgable sellers. He once did jail time for Long Shore fraud so its not surprising.

@@The.Best.Collector No, they film more than one show at the venue, and sometimes people have 2 or 3 items which they then insert into other shows. Furthermore, some people return with more items when they turn up in town again. You really think they need to plant people on this show? Especially after all "Turn up and sell all your old tat" promotion. This format is a surefire way to get the punters down with their old stuff hoping to get a fair few quid.

Yes dealer conned the seller, they get paid for being on the show, so no need to rob the sellers and Alison broke the law she said it was either 9ct or 18ct, no mention of 20ct under English law she committed a criminal offence and because gold was involved fraud! The seller should make a complaint to the Police and the Trading Standards Office to stop these criminal dealers. We need justice ⚖️ to prevent them from robbing us! Maybe, but £610 in the hand with no risk is pretty good. if he wanted to be sure he could have had it tested beforehand. If it went to auction and made £700 hammer price he would have got less money.

@@bobstirling6885 where is the risk? gold always achieves full market value and some at auction but my point was that David is really colluding with these dealers at the owners expense , he could have advised to take to any scrap gold buyers and get today's spot price for gold with no risk at all.
