I'm currently 2 weeks in training at a Starbucks kiosk in my grocery store, and am honestly overwhelmed and stressed. Not only do I need to get the (basic) drinks down a pat AND work faster like you'd mentioned employees will request of you, but on top of that I have to be able to prep/maintain/setup/do CAP for the kiosk... And one day very soon on my own. And I feel like they just keep throwing one new thing to remember after another when I still haven't even gotten the basics down confidently, let alone the register. And what's more this particular kiosk is constantly having some sort of malfunction due to the equipment not being taken care of. I honestly feel like it would take me about 6+ months to get anywhere near my coworkers' level of confidence (which tbh they're all really sweet and considerably patient with me during my training), but it makes me feel mentally drained at the thought that all of this needs to be done in a month by myself.
When I first started they said it’s completely normal for it to take upwards of maybe even 4 months the more you work the more you’ll have those practices down. I know it’s hard I’ve been there just communicate with your coworkers before it gets to much. Mine at least understood because I had no experience but if they’re chill people just ask questions whenever you have them and keep practicing you got this!
I’m crying. I literally relate to this most specially in the register part. It’s just my second day in training and all of the things went smoothly (well I’m just did the customer support, warming, and register) except in the register part. I’m having an anxiety cause I feel like I’m learning so slowly in the register although I know that I’m having progress. I just feel pressured and stressed. Please tell me that you are doing fine now.💜
