As someone who had knee surgery at 18 and had to go to many appointments like this pre and post op it’s so great to see a video I can truly relate to great video 🥰
I have deeply appreciated this entire Rheumatologist series. My mother had Fibromyalgia (among several other issues) before she passed away 8 years ago. She was diagnosed when I was a teenager, and I don't think I ever really considered what it was like from her point of view. Being the "patient" throughout this series has been incredibly meaningful (and at times emotional) for me. I really can't thank you enough.
Its lovely to see how you researched your own condition and included the questions that went round your head when you were diagnosed. You do amazing at these videos. Thank you 😊
The section with Charlie, where you are just reviewing the xray and not engaging with us at all, LOVED it. 100% tingle inducing just watching someone else concentrate
So, this monday I lost my father and I'm trying to deal with this "waves like" grieve. Watching your videos, listening to your voice and you being so kind and lovely make my heart relax for a bit. So thank you Nic, thank you for being my safe space to relax and sleep 💜
I love when you have the large models that you explain the issue on!! Its my favorite and I always go back to the ear role play with the giant q tip and the skin cell one from last year and now I have a new one to go back to! 💕
It's currently 23:18 in South Africa... Just in time!❤️ I absolutely loved the ad section. The interchange between regular talk and whispers is everything. Great video Nic💪🏼.
Amazing video as always! I have a proposition for you it’s a type of video that I can’t seem to really find like there is always pieces of it in videos but never a whole video on it it’s like a mouth inspection not like the dentist but touching the gums, the tongue like taking the time of everything around the mouth you know! Anyway even if you never do it your videos are for me and by far the best to put me to sleep so I’ll always be happy!
Today I had my 3rd pain management spine injection. I was in a car accident in September 2021. I was hit on the right side and 3 of my discs are bulging now and it makes the top and side of my right leg hurt and my knee. I also had a prp injection for the knee. It’s helped my arthritic knee but it still hurts when I do things around the house. Hopefully this new injection takes care of it but I feel like I need more time to heal. I’ve also done physical therapy and had a CT scan and an open MRI because I have panic disorder that causes extreme claustrophobia. Thanks for this video it gives me comfort. 🤗💗
This was very realistic.. Great job matching the sounds to what you were doing.. Your ideas never run out.. Thanks nicola! ❤ 😉 👍 love how well you played Charlie as well.. Awesome acting. As always.
Great video as always Nicola. Love the x ray part, really sounded realistic and they were tingly sounds for me. Love the use of the props as well. Thank you 😊😴😌
Great video upload as always Nicola ♥️🥰 even though I’m headed to work for night shift I still wanted to watch and listen while I got ready for work so I could relax ♥️
Omgosh, I'm only 6:16 in & I feel like I'm really having a convo with my medical provider. BRILLANT JOB. Btw, New to your channel, found you at bedtime, its now 5:47 a.m. & I've been through 3 or 4 videos lol.
I kept checking and reloading RU-vid at 4pm est…. Which was an hour ago now because of day light savings time lol. I felt like such an idiot. Can’t wait to watch this. I am completely drained from the time change.
Greetings Nicola : Such a detailed video ! I could so relate to all of ! Your research , care & compassion for us patients/viewers was spot on. I have severe arthritis in most joints / bones which can be painful ! Regular days are hard, but when an area flares up it's all I can do is not cry ! I'm an avid walker and what keeps me going is something even my doctors don't understand. Is how ? I push due to the reality of it will only get worse so I must keep my muscles as strong as I can ! 35 yrs ago my weight was high , I lost it over the yrs and yes weight does make a difference. However , arthritis doesn't care if you're over weight or under weight..it grabs hold and is relentless ! I take 1 day at a time . I push and have my dog as a motivator..lol She's my trainer lol Anyway Nicola , thank you for the awesome explanation of what does happen to ones body ! Peace ,
Hi Nicola, Yet again another amazing video. Honestly the sheer hard work you put into them is truly outstanding. As someone who has knee's that are shot to shit i got enraged when you said Physiotherapy. I was sitting hear shaking my head. Why in the real world do Doctors think that Physiotherapy and Paracetamol cure everything? it doesn't. Sorry this is me on a rant. lol. Regarding the video its truly outstanding, informative, and you're dedication to putting these video's together is totally awesome. I could watch you for hours Nicola, you are absolutely mesmerising. xx
It’s annoying isn’t it. Paracetamol doesn’t do anything for me. I’ve had no of of different health issues & pain that it doesn’t touch any of it. I don’t understand how physio can help 😂 but that’s what I was told 😂
As someone that is 11months into recover of cauda equina syndrome, the bits about it effecting bowel functions hit close to home lol. Being in diapers when turning 30 suuuuucks.
I’m going to get tested for hypermobility and hEDS on Tuesday, because my joints feel very loose and like they move around a lot + I can do some very strange things with my body that indicate that I have hypermobility. Hopefully it isn’t hEDS and is just hypermobility, but I’m not getting my hopes up because i have almost all of the symptoms. Edit: I was diagnosed with hypermobility. Apparently it’s worse in my knees, specifically my left one, but I have it all around my body.
Me: someone who sees a chiropractor monthly.....cracking like a glow stick. Also me: just found out the reason I’m so crackly in the back is because of misshaped spinal bones 😳 and have also had a herniated disk... and yes, they are horridly painful 😖
I think she uses it so that the viewers might understand it more. Because if she uses pound sterling (in short just *pounds*), people might confuse it as *WEIGHT* instead of *CURRENCY* .It might be abit touchy especially since in a medical roleplay, so maybe thats why she used dollars ^_^ (I am not sure though)
