How is it now? Is it better? I’m a student currently & im nervous about everything 😢 my professors are always saying stuff like “this will be the hardest thing u will do” “this profession takes years for you to be good at” “this is not a easy job as you might think” i get it they’re being straightforward and not trying to sugarcoat it but it just makes me more nervous.

I don’t know if you remember me 😭 but I was in your discord around 2020 to become a sonographer , I ended up going to school for respiratory therapy because it took less time and I’m not as happy as I would’ve been had I did ultrasound, now I’m back to square one and starting to get ready for the program 🙏🏾 I also didn’t think I was smart enough for ultrasound but now I have faith in myself

Don't be Scared. You can do it. I remember what it was like as well but it all starts with taking the first step. But be prepared, it isn't easy; it will require a lot from you but its incredibly rewarding when you get to where you want to be. Good Luck! And of course, watch all of Geselle's videos and others who share about and are great resources for the profession.

Thank You Geselle for Sharing yet another great video. I would hate having to go get the patients myself but I do understand that thats how it often is in the hospital setting. I think it would be best to scan on portable machines with wireless probes in some cases.

I am really considering entering this field. I am still trying for physical therapy school this year but it'll cost me a lot just to retake classes to get my GPA up. I'm gonna try but if this doesn't happen by this year then I'm going to enter the sonography program at the hospital that I work at or a college. I'm really looking for something I would feel comfortable doing for the remainder of my life. I'm 56 years old and have been working in the ER for over 18 years. I feel burnt out and need a change. I have my BS in biology and making pocket change as a salary. I need to make better money so that I can afford to pay my loans and live comfortably.

@@Drama2Karma thank you. I've changed my mind. After a hard look at my life and where I am in my career, I decided to try to make a change. I thought about Medical Technologist because of my BS in biology but honestly, I don't know if I want to work for a hospital anymore. My hospital lab dept offers this course but only accepts one trainee per course. You'll be working with them but taking the course at the same time. I'm still thinking about it. I've been doing coding at home and enjoying it. I'm learning HTML and CSS. I think I'll be happy at that because I'm not dealing with patients at all.
