Here’s a realistic version of what a morning routine looks like throughout the week. It’s shifting and not a strict plan you have to follow. Not everyday will be the same and that’s okay. The purpose of a routine is to have structure and having it can be helpful in times of unpredictability, uncertainty, and stress.
Each routine is different and can include many different habits. Here are some more examples of (healthy) habits you can use in a morning routine:
- journaling
- stretching
- skincare
- cold plunge/shower
- plan out your day (write a to do list
- go for a walk
- listen to some happy music or a podcast
Start out with something small and add to your routine later. Go easy on yourself and don’t bully yourself if you oversleep or skip a day. Life happens and it’s normal that sometimes you can’t do your (full) routine.
