Lily You have only just passed your driving test remember (it does not end there) and there will be plenty of time to build up on your "minors" and worse in the years to come!
Ive passed my test first try 3 days ago literally before school! Wanted to come here to say thanks a lot :D Now I can watch your videos without worrying much😌
@@LegendJ0e4 I passed it on 27th Thursday, my driving instructor told me it should only take 1 week . I’m 17 years old. Dont know if it will take longer than that
After watching your videos, I just realized that I would have failed a test in UK. In Canada, we do have roundabouts. We called them traffic circles, but in most areas, the roads are so wide the govt just adds overpasses and underpasses eliminating the need for a traffic circle. So, I hardly diver through a traffic circle. In addition, almost all vehicles in Canada are fully automatic with no clutch paddle. I cannot drive a manual because I have never driven one since I was a kid. I know a few of my buddies drove in England while on vacation. I can't believe they did not end up in an accident. 😛
Thanks for the time and effort that you put into these videos Pin, and for the Ultimate Driving Course. I took passed my test today on the first attempt thanks to your videos. Good luck to all who have a test coming up. You can do it!
Glad to say im one of the people who passed and is still watching, passed mine first try 3 days ago. He said I was close to failing because I was too close to parked cars, luckily I was slowing down and that saved me.
@@Lukas_Ivaskevicius It's easier than you might think. I know is cliche to say that but I also thought is gonna be hell and I found it easy in the end. It's only 40 min from when you get in the car, so you drive for about 35 min which goes by so fast you don't even realise. I'm not sure how many hours in total, I started on the 1st of November and I did twice a week 1.5-hour sessions, so 3 hours a week. So about 30 hours in total, more or less, since some sessions were cancelled by my instructor. I would suggest that you do 2 sessions a week since that helped me a lot, I did 1 session a week for 1 month and it was just not working properly, I would learn 1 thing and by the time I would drive again next week I would just mess it up again.
Such an easy relaxing drive, at one point I forgot I was watching and Pin's voice made me jump! LOL Renee, is going to be one of those smooth, relaxing drivers that, inadvertently, put people to sleep. Excellent.
I passed two days ago first time with 2 minors. It was rush hour test, but the route I took on my test was done the hour before the lesson. I've watched so many videos ty for the help DGN.
Yay a Coventry kid I'm from cov too. I'm watching these videos to teach other half to drive as show me tell me etc wasn't part of my test way back in year 2000. Many thanks.
Hi, I watch loads of your mock tests videos, very good help thanks. This vid and a few others I've seen there's been a few people getting faults and serious faults on roundabouts with very faded or no road markings, do you not think you as instructors in general need to push this matter on to highways England and get them sorted out as people are paying a lot of money to get driving and could fail their tests due to poor road markings on roundabouts mainly, we're learner's and we need road markings at the beginning until we get it like second nature. I've had this problem before myself, but now I'm prepared for bad road markings which is a lot of the time, which shouldn't be the case. Where is the people's hard earned money going when they have to pay road tax? Just curious if H.E have had this issue brought up to them before?
Pin, I’ve finally passed!!!! Your videos are so helpful and have been a joy to learn off for a few months. Your work should never go unnoticed. Now I can finally join the clan of people who have passed but still watch your videos 😂
16:32 This is a tricky roundabout. First and second exits are regarded as left turns meaning the left turn lane is available until the second exit has been passed. There are two straight ahead lanes and the left one of those is centre lane on approach. Middle lane is best test choice. As you go round you need to allow space for a lane of traffic on your right throughout and space for left turn traffic until it turns off at the second exit. I think she gets spooked by a big tipper and moves wide of it forgetting to allow space on her right for the second lane of straight ahead traffic. I think the issue is working out what your lane is and allowing others to use their lane.
It's not tricky. If she approaches the roundabout in the middle lane then she should enter in the middle lane, unless road markings show otherwise. Simple.
@@_RDMPTN This roundabout does not go very well, the first mistake we make is that although she knows she should "follow the road ahead" just after 16:34 she passes a bifurcation arrow on the floor. The main straight ahead route is always indicated by the straight part of the arrow and the branch indicates a turn route. This incorrect lane selection gets corrected by the time the roundabout is reached. The tricky bit is not which lane to enter the roundabout in but at what point to move left. This is when the left turners would no longer be present. If you find yourself on a roundabout in the lane next to a large lorry, especially articulated lorries a good plan is to let them pull ahead and stay to the rear of them in the next lane. Any incursion will not then be a problem.
Passed my test today with 1 minor which was at the very start first 20 seconds leaving the centre I scraped the tyre on the curb and even thought that I went on it maybe but the examiner said it was a minor at the end. I was so angry and sad the whole test thinking I failed 🙏😂
Thanks :) booked again for July.. hopefully Brandon's top tips will help next time. I must of ate 5 bananas and a whole packet of gum! Ultimate driving course here i come :)
@@alfiemcgoldrick8996 ahh well done mate! Proud of you for getting through them and not giving up. I've failed my first one and felt really bad so I've been reluctant to get back at it. I should just keep going right? Haha
I hope she passed her test... I had a motor bike accident in 2017 that made me very scared of the road and last month I passed but I over analysed myself and judged myself so much too and in a way it made me a better driver.
failed my driving test today just as i a was about to turn back in to the road where the test centre is because a cyclist swung out on me and i didn't react quick enough, only got 3 minors up until that point and my examiner said i would of passed if not for that last bit. no driving tests in my area now for the rest of the year bc of the covid backlog :(
Hope you’ve passed by now but all you do is refresh the cancellations page all day. I failed my test and resat it 5 days later by just refreshing page constantly i got heaps of cancellations. People check it like once a day and think they will get one but you wont. Needs to be every hour minimum
Just got up to the point where she does her first serious and can tell you're like nooooooo she was doing so great, got my test in 4 weeks and just discovered this channel loving the videos
@@bintissa6179 no tips really, a good night's sleep, I ate a banana an hour before my test. Just remember to take your time, don't rush todo things and I spoke out loud sometimes if I was waiting for a particular reason. Most importantly even if you think you have failed just carry on there was a point I thought I had but i was given just a minor.
I’m half looking forward to and half freaking out about my test on Friday, that I’ve been waiting over a year to get and I really hope I pass 🤞😂 thanks Pin for all your videos that have really helped with me learning how to drive 😊
@@jpjukes thanks! No me neither, just to let you know, on tiktoke and thr news, not sure where, one girl wasn't allowed to do her test as the examiner saw her pull up without one, so make sure u wear one unless you're exempt and also, if you're doing it in your instructors car, make sure the inside is clean as in Blackpool, some people weren't allowed to do ths test as the car was dirty, best of luck as well!
Would his driving course be beneficial to me? I'm British but live in Finland now. I will be doing the test and driving in Finland but don't speak the language.
I’ve got two questions dgn. Is it better doing 1 or 2 hours lessons. And If I feel like my driving instructor is taking liberties is it okay to change?
I just gotta ask, don't speedometters in UK xcars have both kph and mph? My Nissan here in the U.S.A. has mph and kph. According to it 30 kph is just 18 miles per hour, so 30 miles per hour is like 50 kph.
Hey guys I’ve got my test next week and just came back from a lesson. I was awful, anyone have tips to help me pass in 6 days time, although I performed extremely poor this morning!
It depends what you're failing on, for example if your planning and awareness needs improving it might be useful to watch a bunch of these mock tests and imagine you're the driver, look at the roads, markings and signs and think about where you're going, what lane to be in etc. Really train your brain to be thinking about these things all the time. If you don't have many lessons before your test just think about what things you struggle with most and watch a bunch of videos about it. And remember the main thing is confidence and being confident in your decision making!
Does anyone know if you have to wait a certain amount of time to retake your test if you miss it? I know you have to wait 10 days if you fail… nothing on the DVSA website! Cheers
Does it matter that she put the car in neutral before she put the handbrake on when stopping? can you do it either way? Neutral first then handbrake or handbrake then neutral?
has no one else picked up on the fact she often slips the gear stick into neutral before pulling the hand brake? it’s probably not a big deal but i was always taught hand brake first at all times…
Handbrake first is certainly safer. I was also taught to leave the car in first gear (or reverse, if you're parking on a downward slope). And when in Paris: no gear, no handbrake, but maybe some padding on the bumpers.
Just a question, if going the wrong way isn’t a driving fault, what if I took the examiner miles in the wrong direction but drove perfectly would I fail 😂
I was lucky to get my license the first time this Thursday, or i would wait until April. People tell me to just get over the few mistakes on my test but i will learn from them, and really be careful since i don't wanna cause or be a statistic. I live in Sweden, the roads and test seems similar over there looking at the video (except for having the driving wheel on the other side). Any way, why was i lucky? Well, i did a risky left turn breaking down to much and blinked a bit late with cars behind.. I instantly realized my mistake when turning, and told him ''ooof i used the breaks way to much''. Then i complicated the parking to much, i backed up besides a car a little bit to close instead of just driving off to use a easier spot. He also seemed to test me when i was on the highway, he told me to use the gas to respect those behind when i was in front of a big truck and then he told me to pass when people where passing already. He saw over it and told me i really really need to think about what I'm doing when driving but overall it's good and passed the test.
Just passed my driving test a few hours ago on my second try. Cheers for the videos because they really helped as I’ve only had 5 hours of lessons. Also remember to use a good mask because mine kept sliding down my nose as I was driving and my examiner threatened to terminate the test if it kept happening :)
Oh wow, thats amazing for 5 hrs only, I must be so bad then, I failed my today after driving for nearly a year So upset as I thought I am alright and ready 😭🥴
