Meri has always been extremely greedy. She insisted on the same household budget that Janelle and Christine got even through they had six kids. She insisted on a rental house as big as theirs. It was never family first - it wss Meri demanding top dog status. When they got the homes in the cul-de-sac she was demanding then too with upgrades. She always pulled the pity card about only having one child. It speaks volumes that none of them want a relationship with her now.
Enjoyed your recap! I am glad you were not so over the top critical of Robyn. It has become like Robyn Derangement Syndrome on a lot of channels! 😂 Not that Robyn is perfect by any means, but I don't think it is all Robyn's fault because of how D Head Kody acts. It is also not her fault that he loves her and not the other wives. I mean he has admitted that he didnt "vet" (ugh) Janelle and Christine to make sure he was in love and was attracted to them before marrying them, but he didn't do this because it was all about living the plural marriage lifestyle. The marriages were clearly not as they were portrayed initially and over in many respects before Robyn ever showed up. I think some think Robyn is to blame for all of this and I guess they think she should sabatage her own relationship or leave. If people were honest, they would admit if Christine, Janelle, or Meri were in Robyn's place with Kody, they would still be married. I even saw where people blamed Robyn for the suicide. That's when I realized there seems to be zero objectivity when it comes to her. Anyway, I appreciate some objectivity! 😂 I am definitely in the minority, but am glad to see a few others going against the Robyn obsession bandwagon and pointing out that a lot that Robyn gets blamed for is due to Kody's actions and for him actually being in love with her. Again, she is not perfect but I do not think she is the monster she is being made out to be.
I think it is only fair to call out the behaviors I see. Yes, Robyn has played role in how things have worked out, but so has Kody, Meri, Janelle, and Christine. And while I do think I have a little more distrust in Robyn than I might in Janelle, she is certainly not the only factor. I've been trying to watch things with open eyes and take in as much as I can. I do not think she should ruin her own marriage for the sake of the fans. She is welcome to have her husband as we all are. I do think she should release the reigns on her adult children and be more honest when she speaks to them. I do see that there are people who take the low hanging fruit of just calling out Robyn for every little thing. I don't want to do that just for views or subs. I want to give my honest opinions and sometimes, those might favor Robyn.

Your approach is way more fair, because if you do find fault with her, it is legit not just a pile on. It is also fun to be snarky but IMO it is better to spread the snark around.😂
I used to live in what was called mormonville in Arizona. Friends I had there, who were Mormon, quite literally said that they are Christians. Yes they are Mormon. But they are Christians. Just saying. I think that listening to Benjamin Brown helps in understanding the why of fundamentalists believing that polygamy is right. As if the soulmates will find each other and then there are a couple of extra women who have lost their soulmates who now need to marry into the soulmates marriage in order to get into heaven. I tend to think that over explaining things is reason enough to just not do it. Lol
I think there are definitely reasons that traditional Christianity and Mormonism debate one another. And is really interesting to watch and learn. There are some big gaps in theology between the two, but I am not the final judge. I've been getting deeper and deeper into trying to understand the differences between different religions. Watching debates between Protestants, Catholics, Orthodox, JW, LDS, and even Islam has really helped me to try and understand where other people are coming from and understand my own viewpoints a little better. I think it helps me to try and look at this show with fresh eyes. I've caught a little bit of Ben Brown's videos and I think he is an interesting follow!
I didn't make pie, but yesterday I made pop tarts and decided to use your recipe instead of the pie crust I was using. They came out so much better than the crust the original recipe has! I was going to mention it when I film next, but you caught me before I got there! I'll still make sure I say something, though 🤣
