This explains so much. Thank you. If everyone recognizes that Robyn is the soul mate, then the other wives should know and accept and be grateful that Kody is willing to be married to them, and expect nothing more than the scraps from the table.
To me that was pretty obvious from the beginning, Christine even said to Kody on the 2nd episode of season one, that she felt he was trading their family (the OG 3 and kids) for Robyn and her kids, yes he was, and you know when they were in Vegas he probably reminded them of the times they had nothing and lived off food stamps, to be happy with what they had and shut up, go with the program, thankfully for the show they had other options and could leave, but again Kody wouldn't make that easy either, too bad the kids suffered most of all.
Lol I also found myself intrigued by the story of the spirit babies. Spirit babies? What in the actual f*ck. Growing up southern Baptist , we didn't get stories of spirit babies we were just told not to answer the door to anyone carrying books cuz they'd be there til supper time shoving their version of heaven....no offense to anyone, it's my grandma's fault.
@@valerieford7899 oh absolutely the same we grew up catholic and I live in the south now so it was such a far cry from what I’ve ever known very interesting
It makes me wonder how they then reconcile the fact that at any given time, a natural population ( aside from places like China, where the one child policy tipped the scales) has approximately half boys and half girls? Mathematically, there are not enough girls to go around. It leaves a few boys with many girls, and other boys with no girls?
Hey there! I don’t know if you guys know about each other already as ex-Mormon creators, but I’d love to see you talk with Sam from growing up in polygamy. He’s ex-flds and has a great channel. They do discussions with other ex-Mormons and have actually also watched sister wives and compared the polygamy on the show to how Sam was raised.
Thank you for sharing your experiences and interpretations with us. You give such a unique insight into the culture. I hope this is helpful to your deconstruction and not harmful for you to dig up again ❤
What an insane fever dream Mormonism is adding polygamy into it is 🤯😖😵😵💫 I'd like to know more about how Winn ended up with 3 wives and who the third one is/was considering we've only been "introduced" to Janelle's Mom and didn't know there was a 3rd let alone how Winn decided to become a polygamist and why Kody always says that he went on "mission" and came back home and BAM the family is in polygamy then he chooses it too. Super confusing! Also, curl your hair and you'll basically be your uncle's twin it's crazy.
Hell no he won't. Kody WISHES he was even half as cute as Ben. They share features but his are put together much better lol. But then I hate Kody so perhaps I'm biased.
I love that you give your opinion of the situation but you also explain why it is the way it is and you explain it so well. Also..I'm curious cuz the show only talks of two wives of kodys dad, I had no idea there was a third.
Right! It was always my understanding that Kody went away on his mission and when he came home BOOM Dad had decided to be a polygamist!! With only 2 wives one of whom was Janelle's mother.
@@valerieford7899 I have no idea if she is sill living. Its been so many years since I learned of her being part of the family, I dont even recall where she was first mentioned.
Loved all of this with the exception of the kisses part. I say where's my kiss to my grandkids and I assure you that it's in no way sexual. They have also said no on occasion and I obviously respect that. Sometimes Grandma didn't let them get the new toy they wanted or said no to something else and they are mad or cranky. And they ABSOLUTELY have the right to say no. But im still going to hug and kiss my grandchildren. I'm raising 2 of them and it's usually the oldest who is 4 that asks me for hugs or kisses and tells me he loves me. Grandchildren are a special bond, much like your own kids tbh. It's how we show affection. He also wont go to sleep if I don't tickle his back. And again not sexual. The thought of that or even of that being misconstrued makes me sick. I was molested as a child and there is a vast difference. Sorry Ben, but on this I disagree. Looking forward to watching your other videos as well tho. Your neighbor spoke very highly of you on WACB so I'm excited to watch your stuff. I hope the sister wives reviews gives you a ton of new followers to promote those as well. Hello from Canada.
I'll give a small kiss on the top of the child's head unless they are absolutely not wanting contact at that time. I respect when a child does not want contact. Once I got a hand shake which was so funny but I respected it none the less.
Kody asked Janelle for a hug after weeks of no contact after the huge fight at Janelle's little apartment where Kody saw Janelle's tiny Christmas tree & made fun of it. Now he wants a "hug" from the wife he treated like trash & told her he did not care what she had to say to him. Kody is a controlling nasty man. Unfortunately Janelle did give him a hug. She also paid for the luncheon. Kody forces closeness when it serves his purposes.
At 12 you are just starting to notice relationships and making ideals of what they should be and if you saw your mom in a new and seemingly happy relationship you would be affected and believe in it as well. Add on all the preaching about how "right" it is....Grown women are conned into this...a 12 yr old doesn't have a chance. Shes almost marrying age....blech.
Hi. Toward the end you said ‘who cares what kids do, their kids’ Adults should care cause kids can create kidlings or be manipulated into stuff. I’m not Mormon. I just think our bodies matter.
He just meant normal adults aren’t looking at kids in sexual context. They don’t think that way. They see them as children and treat them as such. You’re being to literal.
Yes, our bodies matter and consent matters. But that’s not inherently sexual. My son is 4 and we talk about how his body is his, and how to respect others and their boundaries. But we don’t think or talk about his future sexual experiences, because he’s a child. Purity culture isn’t focused on understanding bodily autonomy or consent, it is solely focused on the sexual aspects. Purity culture pushes things like “modest” clothing for children because they might “tempt others to sin” if they are wearing shorts or a tank top. That pushes the idea that bodies are sexual, even the bodies of children. Not every nuance can be covered in every video, but there is a big difference between purity culture and age appropriate knowledge for kids.
@@tracykym9972 Freemasonic type rituals happens and the same oaths are taken in the mormon temples. Masons worship a fallen god, small g. Generational curses are to be expected if you brake those oaths. What I really want know is does he already know this and is he an atheist now.
