On my crossfire and the cls I have use a good leather cover, the ones you have to stitch and to be honest they look amazing, takes a lot of time ,like 3 hours but everybody liked it. Anyway if I need to see a video of how color a steering wheel now I have yours😋. GOOD VIDEO
No. When it's fresh it's a bit sticky and after a while it feels a little more plasticky. But it never really feels 100% the same. Close enough for me, though.
I ruined my steering wheel by cleaning it with alcohol wipes, cause i had oil on my hands. 😂 whats the conditioner and color u used? Im from europe so it might not be available here.
props to you for doing interior work yourself. i tend to stay away from that on my audi altough i successfully did some button/climate control restaurations myself. in some cars you just have to be extra careful because of the materials they used, one slight mistake and you have a scratch that can hardly be removed and you will forever hate yourself for ruining the looks :D i never had the problem of a fading/worn leather steering wheel, but maybe i was just lucky - if it ever happens, i would probably let someone else do it because it is something that i don´t want to f... up :D
