I am completely blown out. Usually when I sit for 1 hour I struggle with pain. But the last sitting was for 1hr 2 mins. With literally not feeling body only slight tingling at the center of the chest. I felt the Strom of pain is coming in left knee I said not interested as Ajahn explains in one of talk. After some time I felt Strom is coming in right knee I said not interested. No pain at all. It's like small kid sitting next his mother, it's like sitting next to the heart. Very unusual experience. I am from computer science background I see him as a professor explaining an experiment in lab, carefully listen and sit and just do as he suggests. I have one more day of holiday. I shall perform few more experiments. Got out of meditation because I felt boredom. I felt like I have spent 2 hrs let me get out. Kliesas playing with the thoughts of time. This is the reflection of my last sitting. Hope it might be helpful to someone. Thank you Ajahn 🙏🙏🙏

The Buddha say you are fortunate to be born as human, born in the BUDDHA sasanna, opportunity to hear the dhamma, opportunity to hear and cultivate the path to enlightment. If one lose this opportunity to become enlighted or awaken, then next life will be too late. The last words of the BUDDHA to the SHANGHA is the BUDDHA encourage them to strive on to gain enlightment in this life. So guys do not relax and play cool it will be too late if you do not strive to attain enlightment NOW. BUDDHAM SARANAM GACCHAMI

This is quite an incredible talk! Thank you very much, Ajahn Martin. I actually have a question: this sati, this knowingness (or awareness), is that the same thing as the citta? Or is it the citta that has the sati? I don't understand - if the person were in apana samadhi, for example, and there was just knowingness, where would the citta be? Would the citta be something else that is experiencing the sati, or is that sat/knowingness the citta itself?

@@ForestDhammaTalks Thank you, Luang Por. If I understand correctly, you are saying that we experience the citta, whose nature is to know and be aware. In practical terms, it seems like you are saying it's more important to discover and experience it than whether it is the same as the awareness or something that has the awareness. Thank you again, I love these talks. 🙏🙏🙏

"the citta is not part of the 5 kandhas"... 🤔 In which sutta(s) is that mentioned?
@ForestDhammaTalks
@ForestDhammaTalks 3 года назад
Did the Lord Buddha say the citta/the knowingness was within the khandhas? If yes, which one(s) of them? If none of them, there must be 'something else' that can know the rising and falling of the khandhas, i.e the citta.

Time to wake up. You are all still sleeping in the world of samsara. You think you are awake but you are wrong. You are all still sleeping. You will be truely awaken from this dreams of samsara existence when you practice mind awakening by purifcation of mind from the poison of ignorance. Practice vipasanna breath contemplation that leads to samadhi where all 5 hindrances stop and if one continue after hindrance stop one will progress to one point concentration (upeka) only concious exist. One without giving up at upeka one will suddenly shut down mundane concious. One enter into nibanna. One do not know upon entering nibanna, only upon return to samsara or mundane concious one awake and continue to dreams. In this awaken samsara dreams one remember the experience of nibanna. One now really sees nibanna the awaken state and thus continue to live out the karma force of existence in samsara. One is now an ARIYA,the awaken one. BUDDHAM SARANAM GACCHAMI

Six sense all stop. One enter into ceasesation and mundane concious vanish it stop. One is awaken. One experience nibanna.Upon return from ceaseation one is in the state of jhanna. Concious of mundane is awaken again and upon to 3rd jhanna one is sitting erect in 3rd jhanna with whole body pleasure is known. One in samadhi. Here one recollect and remember ceaseation and understand it clearly. One see how one enter and return process. One is now an ARIYA. BUDDHAM SARANAM GACCHAMI

Why did everyone bow to the monk but the monk didn't bow to the Buddha?
@challso4147
@challso4147 3 года назад
Sometimes respecting is non-physical action, bow equal respecting so, keeping in the heart could be another choice right?. And is it better not to judge the whole from what you firstly saw? maybe idiom "don't judge a book by its cover" is necessary.
@psa4026

@Savage Rice Cake Why the teacher didn't bow to the Buddha? Usually the teaching monk will bow to the Buddha in other temples.

@PS A: Form does not create Content, however Content creates form. In the West Form is practised without the content, in Thailand both Form and Content are practised. More on that maybe in one of the next Talks

Yes it would be great if it could be explained further because he had no problem accepting others bowing to him and yet he didn't bow to the Buddha. Is it ok if nobody bows to him? What if a visitor comes in and refuses to bow to him? I had a great Dhamma teacher in the past who never asked his sangha to bow to him.
