They look great well done and I love the Jason and the Argonauts film I have to keep your hands in my pockets has I have got enough bits to do now but they look brilliant species of big Buzzard it reminds me of the old mother-in-law haha
That's awesome, thank you! Even before I had started painting the skeletons, in my head I knew exactly how I wanted them to look and that was to mimic the Harryhausen look. A quick rough drybrush is really pretty effective at achieving this effect as it gives them a slightly rough look. Rather befitting of a skeleton that has been buried for a good few years 😃👍
Erehwon is still one of my favourite games, but I just don't play enough. I've also got an undead army with a carrion beast, not as nice as yours though Ste. I usually take my giant with my barbarians, his rock throwing ability is awesome.
Definitely agree with this Matt. It's a fantastic ruleset that I really haven't played enough over the years. I'm about 75% through painting the giant so I may build my warband around him 😃👍
So, you see, as the skeleton is riding a chariot, his chest cavity acts like a sail and forces wind upwards towards the skull. The skull then accumulates this air and acts as sort of a duct reducer, compressing the air further and forcing it through the jaw opening. This compressed air is then displaced into the trumpet. It's all elementary physics really.
Thanks Lucian and it has certainly been a nice change from painting mostly historical miniatures. The skeleton box comes with many ancient Greece inspired shields and decals 😃👍
Cheers Nic! I specifically chose these skeletons as they were the closest to the GW skeletons of many years ago and have that really cool classic fantasy feel to them. That aspect also applies to the Wargames Atlantic cavalry and chariots. Highly recommended 😃👍

Thanks Robert! This one was probably one of the slowest that I've painted recently and I think it took me almost two years from start to finish. I worked on this in-between other projects. I think the best advice I could give on finishing a project is to plan exactly what you want to paint and, more importantly, don't rush through it. You're more likely to complete the project if you work at a pace that suits you rather than hurrying through just to try and finish it 😃👍
The warband looks really nice, I am waiting for my Wargames Atlantic skeleton cavalry to complete my undead army, I also have the mantic kit. Have you tried Oathmark? That ruleset is just great in my opinion.

I hate the Warlord Games Skeletons simply for those bloody feet, the irony is they're the closest on the market to the classic GW Skeleton Horde sprue.... They're a sculpt that used to be produced by Wargames Factory before they shut down and sold out to Warlord. Overall you've built a great looking army mate.
