A Review of Castle Arts 120 Colored Pencils

Thank you for the review. I just purchased this exact set yesterday for my 15 year old. I think I got a steal for USD $31.50 shipped (it's free shipping) directly from Castle Arts during their January Sale, was quite a bit cheaper than buying on Amazon, which is where I normally buy her art supplies, but this was a decent chunk to save. If these are decent I think I may invest in some more from the line for her.

I love these pencils. I got the exact same pack as this just in the tin not the pencil case. These r the best pencils I’ve ever had as I’m a beginner and these r really affordable compared to other brands so I can’t compare them to other brands bc I’ve never had another brand apart from these cheaper pencils which were like crayola type pencils. This is a great review as I really wanted to see what other ppl who could compare it to other brands thought so this was really helpful thank you!!! 😊

I just bought these. I really like them. They lay down well and have lots of unique colors. A lot of times pencil sets will have, for instance, six yellow pencils. Like four of them will be almost identical with a couple noticeably different shades. These are mostly all different colors.

I also have this, I love how vibrant these colored pencils are, instant five starts ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thanks my mom bought these and some sketchbooks for my birthday since I am a young beginning artist and they are pretty decent. Definitely better than the craz art and crayola I used before. There is a deal on Amazon where you can get the 120 set and sketchbooks for the price of just the colored pencils right now. $60 for the colored pencils and 2 sketchbooks.

I just bought the soft case set and I prefer that case much better than the tinned set (different brand)

Great video. I love knowing other people's opinions. These colors are so beautiful. I recently purchased the set of 72. I wish I had bought this set. So many more colors and a nice zipper case! I love my Castle Arts pencils. They are so pigmented, and the colors go down so smoothly. I'm glad that I bought them! I have a set of 24 Prismacolor pencils, and I love them, but I don't know if I'll be getting a larger set. They are so pricey. Thanks for sharing your opinions.

A Camilla d'Errico coloring book? Good tastes! I have one too, not the same one though. I also recently ordered the 120 Castle arts set in the zip pouch, I was hoping to be back on campus this semester and to use these as my travel set, but that didn't really work out. Hopefully next semester though.

Amazon had them for 50 bucks for a bit of time. Went back. They jacked up the prices again. I found them 10 bucks cheaper over at Walmart Online stores. I don't see how Amazon can get away with Jacking up Prices that fast all the time. Specially when you have stuff in your cart. Ugh. Been wanting to try these. Sorry had to rant some place. lol. My Christmas Present for myself. 🙂They look very nice.

If you are feeling there are not enough grays, why did you not use the Pastel Tint colored pencils????

Would you say that prismacolors and castle arts are similar? I’m a prismacolors user right now but I want more colors without paying a lot of money. I personally really love the pigments of prismacolors and I want a similar or same quality if I get more.

Hi there, I just saw that you use pencils... do you have any thoughts on the Arteza Colour Pencils (Experts) as I know they are a slightly less expensive option compared to the Prismacolor? Thanks
