Today we move our new Bourbon Red Turkeys to their new pen but first we have to cut their wings so they can't fly away. Unfortunately when we were taking care of the turkeys after buying at the auction Cassie realized something isn't right with our Tom. We get them moved over but it's too hot for anything else so we catch up with the walkers on the front porch. Thanks for watching and God Bless!

Gary, the kids will NEVER get bored with a pool. They will have thousands & thousands & thousands of hours of fun! If any of them are bored, put them to work, or have them invite a friend over. I was lucky enough to grow up with a ingound pool in our backyard. It was spectacular! Trust me when I tell you I never had a problem jumping in the pool to stir up the pool whenever my dad added chemicals. We also partook in regularly skimming out leaves and tree frogs . It was one of the best parts of our childhood!

J.F. Barbee initially named the breed “Bourbon Butternuts.” But seeing that that name did not promote the breed as much as he desired, he rechristened them “Bourbon Reds.” Of course, the “Bourbon” for his county and the “Reds” for the plumage of the birds.

Prayers for Doss farm! I also need prayers. My cousin is having issues... collapsed went to the er... had to be intubated... got through that now collapses again and had a seizure. They couldn't figure out what is wrong. My brother also needs prayers... had to have another surgery after his back surgery because he tore his Incision on the inside. Also my best friend is having a heart procedure Friday. I am also having heart issues.... so stressed ❤ love you all so much! Continued prayers and God bless

It was initially called the Kentucky Red or Bourbon Butternut, but became better known once the name Bourbon Red was adopted. It was accepted into the Standard of Perfection of the American Poultry Association in 1909. Hope this helps you Cassie.

You made me laugh when you talked about the "thousands and thousands" of dollars to have a pool. We had a pool the whole time our girls were growing up, then took a break and did it all over again when our grandsons were born. When the kids got big enough they had to clean before swimming. As far as chemicals, we had the chlorine floater in the pool. We also had a cleaner "robot" that cleaned the bottom of the pool. They weren't that bad. In order to get a longer season, we got a solar heater so our swim season was 6-7 months instead of 3-4. 😉😉😁😁😁❤❤

Breeding a Hereford Bull with a Highland Cow may be a problem with the calf being too large for the cow to deliver. I believe that is the mix that Frank is at Doss Farm

Frank is actually has an angus dad. A hereford is even bigger so you're absolutely right about that baby potentially being too chunky for a highland momma.

A pool is a must in the summer time! The kids wont get bored. My kids lived in swim trunks during the summer. So refreshing after a long day of work too. 😊

I agree. We bought extra swim sets for the kids, and not as many short sets, etc. they put the suits on in the morning, dry suits on before lunch, and again before supper. They practically lived in the pool. 😉😉😘😘

I want to thank all the people who prayed for my roommate Sonya. She is doing better. Her breathing has improved and she is now able to eat a little bit. She still not out of the woods, but it sure is a big improvement. Still need the prayers, but I am so grateful for the extra prayers.

I’ve had both. Salt is far cheaper and easier to maintain than a traditional chlorine pool. The initial set up may be slightly more expensive, but it required far less maintenance time and money.

Just a suggestion about a pool.... Look into a salt water system. I think it may be cheaper to run. We had a 18 foot round up ground pool My four kids absolutely loved it. I wish that I had a place that I could have some chickens... I've never have seen the type of 🦃 turkeys that you now have. They're pretty cool looking. Love your channel!!! Dough Boy pools are so much fun, dig down 24”, lay sand and sink in the pool and build a little deck and make sure that you have a way for everyone to get out safely!👍

Gary, I'm with you on the upkeep on the pool. I had an in-ground pool, and boy, what a pain! Loved my pool, though. I lived in town and finally got a service to do the chemical upkeep. That made having a pool a little more fun, but I still had other things I had to do myself with it. So yes, I do understand why you don't want one. Also, going over to family or friends to play in their pool is a lot more fun. 😁 Love your channel and how you raise and keep your animals. I think that everything is early this year. One thing is veggie’s that are ready now. I agree with Cassie on the pool. The kids are older. My dad orders all his pool supplies after Summer. He’s also gotten some good deals on pool shock on Amazon too. But I’m sure the kids will be a big help keeping the pool cleaned.

I bought a 15' "blow up" pool. Got a cover as well, helps keep things from growing in it. Easy to clean, the grandkids live in it during the summer, roll it up, stick it in the shed until next year

Get a large round water trough, put a drain spigot on it and fit a small filter on it and call it a pool! Not much swimming room but enough to cool off in!😊❤

I was in the hospital during this video . I was 2 1/2 in surgery. I had a Stent put in but there was alot of gunk they had to clean out the best they could. I have to go back in again in September to have bypass. I mentioned it on the churches sight before everything. Please continue to keep me in your prayers.

Swimming pool. Yes…goodness Gary. What a bunch of excuses. Lol Cassie. One call it one thing and the other call it different. lol take a banana and dip it in peanuts. Slice them and put in freezer. Tasty snack all 100%. I love the names. I’m a Reba fan also. As to the pool, I think you will have to have a fence for it I believe if your foster license regulations are like ours. You can put a sprinkler under the trampoline, that is cooling. Like the new turkeys. Neat neat! Stay cool. Please pray for my daughter in love and grandkids, their vehicle was T boned yesterday. All are ok but shook up, my oldest grandson Corbin was by the door hit. Looks like their car is totaled. Glad the lady was sorry and insured. Thank you. Love and prayers 😇💜
