This game is simply fantastic, as a Super Metroid lover and metroidvania games fan in general, I couldn't imagine one with a random procedurally generated map that actually kept its metroidvania essence (for instance as far as I'm concerned Dead Cells IT'S NOT metroidvania, it failed in that regard with a 'fake' backtracking). Can't wait to play it on Nintendo Switch tomorrow!!!
I keep a close eye on metroidvanias on Nintendo Switch, I check every week and I cant believe this game fell below my radar somehow. I just recently found out about it through a random youtube video. Ive been playing for a while now and I really love it.
Bought the game like 3 days ago (for a price that made me feel like I was stealing it), already in the games that I've spend the most time on the switch, it's truly something special that I will recommend! It shouldn't be allowed to make a game this addictive lmao

9 month after, there is a collector edition that is avaiable to preorder that I'll try to get. This game is still awesome, I 100%-ed it and even after that there is still a lot of fun to get out of it.
I really like this game! It's been a while since I have been glued to a game. What would be really cool is to have a "custom run" mode where you can enable/disable type of items that spawn, enemy types, tilesets, and let users play with some of the math behind the level generator! Perhaps a way of naming and saving seeds/custom run mode options and having the ability to share with others and download them from an online repository like DOOM's Snap Map feature. This is a fantastic game!
Hah! Funny you should mention that. I literally just finished adding some UI to the seed menu that keeps track of the last 9 seeds you've generated. Eventually I'll add the ability to favorite them, but for now its an improvement. There's a nasty bug at the very end of the secret area in the game, so patch is coming soon. Customizable runs is something I want to tackle eventually, but it'll be a little while. I'm glad you're digging it!
Really enjoying this game, I'm happy to have gotten it on Switch. Appreciate the Sale as well. Just got the Second Ending and I'm extremely impressed by everything this title has to offer, It's a love letter to Metroid in the best way possible. I have been having a rough time defeating the Leviathan, but hopefully I'll be able to punch through that fight eventually. That's the funny thing about this game, it can be difficult in certain runs but I can't stop playing. It's such a fun game to pickup and play, thank you for porting it to the Switch!
Seriously great game! It must have taken some serious coding to make the random maps work!? Basically its super metroid infinite with more weapons and gadgets, whats not to like!
