that's what i was thinking too i been an A Rod fan since i was a kid and this was the most comfortable and open i think I've seen him he doesnt do many long form interviews either so this was definitely a treat
I work in corporate america and I cant even begin to describe how much relationships matter... How you portray yourself and speak to others can open a lot of doors for you ... You can tell a lot about a man from how he speaks to people that work for him or have a job people deem below them. I take time every time im at the office to thank the janitors and cleaning staff just for being there.. It really impacted me when i saw our site head take out the trash one time. And to give some perspective I work for a top 10 bio pharmaceutical company in the WORLD I mean this man makes easily 7 figures and god knows how many stock.options on top of that .. And there he was taking out the trash.... To me that shows character and standards.
Love how he says each of their names often when answering individual questions. I notice that with people like Magic Johnson too. Those are small but smart big businessman tactics.
THIS was the best interview A-Rod has ever done. Unlike other interviews...you don't interrupt the guest!!! You let Channing and Fred take the lead. Their Florida roots really shined through. EXCELLENT WORK FELLAS!!!!!
The thing I like most about this podcast is that it's more of a platform for these athletes and public figures to tell their story versus a direct interview where it's just Q&A.
It's so good. It makes the guest comfortable because most other places, its like ants all over them and waiting for baited questions used to make them angry or defensive
Maaaaaaaaan! This was a great episode! ARod has really turned his life around. Just goes to show that when we're at our lowest point, it's not over. We just have to take a really hard look in the mirror and be 💯 with ourselves. Oh and Floyd coming in at the end was epic! 🤟🏿
@@eduardonava6284 I was looking for the comment explaining. I've watched Arod from the beginning of his career and don't remember any serious turmoil, other than which woman he was gonna date.
@@shadowguy20004 those are great interviews but Arod isn't the subject of those interviews. This interview candidly sheds light on Arod and his evolution. Its clear that he has grown from his PED issue into highly evolved person that is actively leveraging his platform to uplift ppl of color in the realm of business.
I've said it before, I'll say it again: These 3 gentlemen simply make their guests feel COMFORTABLE. Ya know...if you're wondering why this podcast is THAT good, that's why. Peace.
Yep, and I feel comfortable as a viewer. Channing the most high energy guy in the room but even with all his shenanigans, he knows how to talk to people. It's like making some hot beat, they got all the proper instruments and it's smooth as a MF.
@@icantbelieveitsnotbutter8851 Channing is amazing in his ability to be his crazy self while also asking some tough questions. He's like an icebreaker but instead of it happening at the beginning, he breaks the ice THE ENTIRE EPISODE. Yeah.
@@betabetapsi Super key component of the old and new show. Able to dive into many bags to switch up on the conversation. Was able to fix his spelling of his name before ppl jump on me lol thanks
Man this pod is getting better each time. I’m so glad they kept the main thing the main thing… This is helping me improve my life and hopefully from it I can be better at all aspects in my life!!!!
I cannot say this enough, this Podcast, The Pivot is AWESOME. I’m a older female, lover of sports and people, and I absolutely love the interviews, the subject matter, the honesty, transparency and the openness. Keep it coming. Just a wonderful show.
Yes this was a a great pod with A-Rod I even took notes!! And the camera angle with A-Rod and the Pivot sign behind him was fire!🔥 y’all should have a shot like that with every guest you have on, again keep it up fellas! 🔥
Great interview today we met AROD the kid from NYC / Miami, AROD the super ego mega star player , And then just the new readjusted Alex Rodriguez the humbling family and business man . Pivot crew hit it out the park !!!
These interviews are getting crazyyy good lol 🔥🔥 every time that song drop for some reason I start to do the Harlem shake 😂 yalll got me siced in the end with the to be continued when Floyd came in and the song dropped lol
I will continue to say this active listening is the gift of these three men. This allows the guest to fully articulate there points. I am so happy they have formed this podcast. Guys keep going / shinning
Yo couldn’t even work I was glued to this interview….that was refreshing and real as can be…A rod wow the way he connected with his authenticity and whole life was awesome! Alright ready to take on the world let’s goooo!!!!!
I never liked A Rod because I thought he was a robot without self awareness but this Pivot interview made me totally change my mind about him. That therapy he did must’ve worked wonders!
No one rises out of poverty, performs at that level of excellence and expectation, and live to tell about it with no self awareness. They may be assholes but they're aware. And don't care.
It's bit that..people work for other people and can't really do what they want. He is his own man now. So he good..behind closed doors he probably been like this but couldn't show it in the public eye during his playing career
@@wjones8149 he never rose out of poverty 😂 Kendall isn’t the hood, it’s probably one of the safest neighborhoods in south FL. And he went to private school as well. He’s a cornball Edit: Apparently calling people out for lying on where they grew up and making their own minority group look bad is glorifying the hood according to the idiots on this thread
That says a lot about you tho… no human being get that high up in achievements in life without awareness! It should have been obvious! Like even those you don’t like they all got high self awareness. They may do crazy things but they are definitely self aware
@@KingElement so he is a corn ball for not being in from the hood y’all glorify the hood to the point where it’s a flex it’s not it’s sad do better think better live better deprogram yo mindset
You guys did it again!! As a lifelong Yankee fan, I'm glad ARod got the opportunity to speak about his highs and his lows in his career. For a long time the media drove his narrative and it was always negative. I'm glad he was able to push through it and come out a success on the other end. Thanks for the motivation guys!!
🔥🔥🔥Arod is hella motivation man . Thanks Pivot for bringing a whole new perspective to me about one of the greatest sportsmen who has a lived. Walking living legend
As a latino specifically Dominican, I feel proud of AR, Thanks you guys The Pívot Cast were great in The interview, Congratulations guys, Hugges from Dominican Republic. Postdata:I Just suscribe to that wonderful Channel
Wow..this show was absolutely a GIFT. GEMS hidden and seen were disseminated on this showing..I love Men showing that they can do more than entertain but teach lessons.
Inspirational to say the least, not to mention forever grateful for the memories - 2009 Postseason - Crushed it with 6hrs, 5 Doubles, 19 Hits, 18RBI's. One of my favorite photo's of A Rod is a post that #13 had shared online with his girls on the farm Tractor - He's a great dad that passes it forward 24/7
A-Rod is my new hero. Ps. I’m from the UK where we know nothing about baseball I only know his name because of American shows. But judging from the last two interviews I just watched... this is a GREAT mentor
Yet another outstanding episode from the Fellas. Had no idea Alex was so incredibly business savvy. Channing with the comic relief 👍, chalk up another one...
I don't watch baseball. All I knew coming into this episode was that's a famous baseball player and J-Lo's ex. A-Rod is a full fledged business mogul and a walking business masterclass. I was taking notes the entire time. I'm so glad you guys showed this side of him. I enjoyed this!
Definitely digging the PIVOT podcast. I was a fan of I AM ATHLETE but you guys just completely won me over….you guys should interview Prince Fielder, Jeff Gordon and Travis Kielce! Great JOB 👏
The Pivot is becoming some what of a NETWORK. First, outstanding guest and interviews. Next, “Breaking News”…the announcement of the retirement of Malcom Jenkins. Then, Live from Grambling University. Now, an episode with “cliff hangers”. BRILLIANT 🧠! When I saw, To Be Continued…I screamed OMG 😱, that was “BRILLIANT”. The Pivot has separated itself from ALL OTHER PODCASTS! I can’t wait to see what’s next. 🤩
This show is what it is because of its honesty. RC, Fred & Chan’s honesty is infectious to the point that the guest can’t help but be 100% honest as well. Keep it going fellas 💪🏾
I hope a lot of young athletes and young men are young women had a chance to watch this podcast about investing their money and money management great job Guys...👊🏿
You guys continue to soar to great heights. Don’t recall seeing an interview where Alex was so open. Love his advice and business acumen. A very reflective Alex Rodriguez on his life, struggles and triumphs. Can’t wait to see part 2. Keep doing it fellas, your content is head and shoulders above the rest.💪🏿🙌🏽💪🏿👏🏿👏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿💯.
I bet A Rod makes a LOT of money doing speaking engagements for businesses. The way he carried himself in this interview felt like an informal Ted Talk. I love the content The Pivot keeps putting out. You get the full spectrum of an athlete's life. This may not be the most entertaining interview but its definitely going to help someone get some money.
A Rod seems super genuine when he speaks on his life experiences! Very humble individual. He explains things in a way that regular people can relate to, even tho hes A Rod and its nothing regular about him. 😅 great interview
Wow I’ve never seen A-Rod this transparent I use to not like him as much when I found out about the PED use, what I didn’t know or care to understand was he was human and we are all better then the worst mistake we’ve ever made, this interview has changed my perception the original A-Rod is a first class human being and deserves to be treated as such..💯🖤👑
I really enjoy how well rounded The Pivot is with guests. To hear an interview with Alex Rodriguez means a lot. If I have to pick the next baseball players to interview, I’d go get Derek Jeter and CC Sabathia.
this amazing dawg. I'm from south Florida n A-Rod has been on my wall since I was a kid n to see him come from Miami n do what he did a long with other Miami greats always makes me smile cuz we made it out. I make my son watch every episode of the pivot n then we have a a conversation afterwards about what was discussed on the show. it's definitely helping us stay close as father n son. Thank you Men of color for giving back it's greatly appreciated.
This was a phenomenal conversation so many gems dropped just within the first few minutes. A. Rod had so much eye opening info and his ability to breakdown the lane(s) he’s in now is so legit and the questions the fellas was asking and things they inquired about mad this joint top tier. Y’all without a doubt produced another banger!!! Now with all that being said a guess that I think would be a massive sit down is someone who pivoted multiple times throughout their life and to me with each pivot it was beyond next level and that’s Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
I never knew A-Rod was this hood, you can't never judge a book by its cover! The Pivot stay bringing that heat, they got the Podcast game in a chokehold!! 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
Thank you guys for sharing these unfiltered aspects of the guests that affords us a more vivid resolution of the person behind the famous celebrity moniker. Very special!
Guys I listen and watch every episode….but this episode was epic on so many levels…I was therapeutic, cathartic, and eye opened all at the same time..ARod was dropping pearls and I made sure I picked them all up…Keep it going..the show is literally getting better and better..
👍🏿 Its crazy how I've seen several of their guest in other interviews over the years, but I get a greater appreciation for them after they come on the Pivot.
I’ve gained even more respect for A-Rod & Him keeping it really real 👍🏾 As usual, You Guys done another wonderful interview, if you will, with the Show 👏🏾
Yoo like halfway through I was like theres gotta be a part two to this, it’s too good. And then boom Floyd come in and part two tbc.. littt. This is 🔥🔥
I’ve been wit y’all from the start cause how real and simple the lessons you guys laying out for us ..I salute all involved with this show !!! Please don’t change we need this this Vibe
