When buying rose dominant fragrances, things will sometimes end up in anxiety. I've took recommendations and then got not all ended well. Personally, I'm not a big fan of sweet jammy rose. Even the OG Zaharoff Signature Rosé didn't appeal to me that much. Not saying that Signature Rosé is bad, but it's just my preferred way of rose, if you know what I mean. The 2024 Zaharoff Halfeti Black Rose was a promise. It was a promise of something very different. A fragrance that would be masculine, spicy, long-lasting and the best promise was that the use of black rose would add a whole different dimension to this release. Did George really keep his promise with the release of Halfeti Black Rose? Only one way to find out.

Zaharoff Signature Rose is my most cherished rose fragrance. I was wearing it the day my dog passed away, and the incense combined with rose was beautiful, comforting, and spiritual. I emailed George to let him know how much his creation meant that day. George emailed me back and we both reminisced about our pups. I am sure anyone who knows George isn’t surprised by that. But I don’t wear Signature Rose that much because it is so special to me. My most worn rose fragrance is Rose Poetique from Manos Gerakinis. An honorable mention goes to Rose To Nowhere from the indie house For The Scent Of It, but I only have a sample of that one.

That's a very touching story and certainly Rosé had deeply connected your memories to that event. As for George, no doubt about this true gentleman. He's like a great inspiration in my life. I hope your beloved dog is in a better place and happy. Pets become part of our lives. I once lost a parrot and even after all these years, I can still hear it doing crazy sounds and running all around the house. Thank you for sharing such a personal moment. 🙏

Last year I was looking for a scent to wear on a west-coast vacation and was intrigued by White Sands from Amouroud. I couldn’t find anyone talking about it but you, and I bought it based on your description. Wore it each day and now I relive that trip each time I smell it!

Love Halfeti Black Rose! This one is the answer to rose frags for me. Like you, I was never a huge fan of rose. This is the first LOVE in that realm. Count me out for the giveaway as I already have my bottle. Good stuff Brian!

I hear you, my friend. My first proper rose fragrance experience was at the Arabian Oud store. I tried Rose wood and found it to be beautiful. Not the super jammy rose-oud combo. Then the other one that I really liked was Argos Adonis Awakens which gives rose a different dimension. With Halfeti Black Rose, it’s a different game. The promise was real. I still can’t believe how masterfully this fragrance was blended. How the roses never become like floral rose or a sweet mess. It’s so gorgeous.

@@brian19869 that’s one of the things that Claude and George do best, their blends! Still need to try Adonis Awakens but the only other rose-forward frags I have truly enjoyed are Signature Rosé and D&G The One Mysterious Night.

Oh yeah! That nice deep red and golden cap bottle of D&G Mysterious Night. Definitely try out Adonis Awakens, but beware cuz this is very....and I mean very potent. Go light on the atomizer when trying.

I love Burning Rose by Carolina Herrera. It is a terrific fragrance that combines the elegance and charisma of a rose with the richness and spiciness of patchouli, ginger, and cinnamon. I am extremely interested in getting my nose on HR because the scent profile seems to be something right up my alley.

My favorite Rose fragrance is Tomavicci Empyrean. An outstanding and unique musky Damascus rose that lasts forever!! It has strawberry peony and vanilla; but fret not, it’s not a total fem fragrance, the composition mixes so elegantly with the other ingredients which works great for men. Yes it’s unisex, but in my opinion it works way better on my skin especially in the dry down. A must have in my books and definitely signature scent worthy.

Nice. I do own Tomavicci Empyrean and have reviewed it too. When I was testing the fragrance, it reminded me of 3 fragrances. Not exact replication, but as the fragrance developed, it went in many directions. Then I started looking into which ones I have and it's reminding me of. Beautiful stuff I must say. My bottle of Empyrean is with my mother since she loves it more 😂. Thank you for sharing your experience.

My favored rose fragrance is SMOLDEROSE from January Scent Project. It has, as one of its notes "roasted sea shells" which gives the scent the aura of a bonfire burning rose petals. Very intoxicating. Long lasting.

My favorite Rose fragrance is Toy Boy by Moschino. The elemi and pink pepper make the rose accord very masculine, and it is very long lasting on me. I have been waiting to try Zaharoff Signature Rose and also Rose Poetique by Manos Gerakinis!

If you haven't tried anything from Zaharoff, then you can always head over to their site (link in description) and get 2 ml samples. I've always found their creations very unique and the way George Zaharoff interacts with anyone is just an awesome experience.

Thanks for the review & giveaway! Unfortunately I haven’t found a rose fragrance that I liked on my skin, yet. The only one I tried was a sample of Zaharoffs Signature Rosé and it leaned a bit too feminine for me. I’m definitely open to trying Black Rose. Another Rose I’m looking forward to trying is Rose to Nowhere by For the Scent of It. I’m in Los Angeles California 👍🏽

The water, humidity, air and climate of the Halfeti Region make it possible for black roses to grow in their natural environment ,Black roses moved from their roots to another area may take on a different color. At best, it can have a rose with a dark red or burgundy color.

@@brian19869 exactly because Halfeti's soil, air, water, humidity and climate are very beneficial for black rose. For this reason, soil is extremely important for black roses grown in their natural environment and black roses grown in greenhouses.

i want the bottle for the looks alone! i never found a rose dominant fragrance that suits me. what i have now is oud satin mood which is one of my top 10 of all time however i do not really consider it as a rose fragrance. as for zaharoff, i've had the signature which is good and tried tabac. i can't wait to get my nose on this!

Black Rose definitely takes the spotlight. I just couldn't digest Oud Satin Mood. Not that it's a bad fragrance, but definitely not for me. Keep me posted when you get your hands on Black Rose.

Hey Brian, my favorite rose fragrance at the moment is Aaron Terence Hughes Onyx Extreme. It is a Rose, Plum and Vanilla Absolute fragrance. I recommend everyone to try. Fingers 🤞🏾 for the giveaway, awsome review!

New subscriber. Never had an interest in trying a rose fragrance because it just made me think it would be too feminine or too old ladyish smelling but i heard about this one and was intrigued. I ordered a sample and loved it so i tried to buy the big bottle but it's sold out. Might go with the smaller one but like you said that big bottle is beautiful and it will look great in my collection. I had never heard of zaharof until seeing this review so i looked into his other fragrances and wanted to try that coco loco. Ordered a sample and as soon as i sprayed it i went ahead and ordered the bottle. I was amazed when it only took 2 days to get it. I'm really impressed with the fragrances and presentation of the fragrances i have tried. I'm sure i will be ordering more from him in the future. Keep making great videos though. Going to look and see what else you have reviewed.

This is an amazing story and I'm very happy that you found value from my works. Yes, George is a true gentleman and Zaharoff fragrances are shipped with priority so it's almost always 2-day shipping unless bad weather slows down the process. Coco Loco is crazy good and you must try Citrine too. It's fantabulous. Do look into Royale X and if you're daring enough get a sample of Leather Tabac. Completely agree on the fact that it's very difficult to find the right kinda rose fragrance for men. Do look into MFK A La Rose (homme) and Black Rose is a must try. Keep me posted when you try these.

i have Rose' from Zaharoff as well and that baby is super strong and as a man i have mix it with XXX or Noir to wear! i go to Halfeti quick and not sure how to take it. i have worn on skin and on shirts and so far no one has even said anything, so i'm lost on it so far!

(Manceras Roses Greedy) awesome fragrance marketed for woman but I definitely pull it off in a office setting now compared to Black Rose since I did get the 2oz I agree with everything you mentioned very masculine fragrance and well crafted..
