A ROTOM of EVERY TYPE! 

Once again, thanks so much to everyone who participated in the contest and thanks so much for 50k (or should I say 66k!)

For the Bug and Dragon Types, I’d have gone with a bug zapper and a barbecue grill respectively.

Fun fact: The Electric type is already covered, the Pokedex and Phone forms are pure electric type. They just don't have the ability to attack.

Honestly a cool concept for a Rotom Bug type would be the computer chips and old school transistors because of their tiny bug like designs. Imagine like Rotom possessing an old circuit board full of old transistors and the chips act like a little Rotom Colony.

I think the normal type being a cd player would be cool, it could even have a new move called shuffle where it shuffles TM disks inside itself and preforms a randomised move.

So fun to see everyone’s designs, there’s some in this video I never would have even thought of, so much creativity in the community 😄

IMAGINE being sand tombed by all the shite Rotom vacuumed off the floors of your house! 😱 My take on the bug type would be one of those lamps that lure and kill mosquitos

An electric steel rotom would be super good. With levitate, it’s defensive utility would be outstanding maybe if it got a couple useful moves for it

When I was a kid I thought of a fighting type rotor as an egg beater, and a dark type one as an internet server

I can’t believe I made it in! It was so fun! All these were amazing entries and once again congrats on the 50k Brandon!

Well none of my entries made it but atleast it helped me come up with 2 new additions to my region. It was interesting to see how different every artist interpreted the "prompts" in an own and unique way.

For ground, my first thought was a seismograph that had access to a lot of needle-based moves. Also a concept for a poison type rotom: a vape pen.

As a non-ambulatory wheelchair user, whenever the ‘which pokemon would you want to have irl’ question comes up, my answer is always Rotom! There are so many things it could possess to make my world more accessible, including my chair itself (it’s an electric chair, but that does fuck all for getting past sidewalk splits, steps, curbs, etc. - its less able to get past much smaller obstacles than a manual chair.) I love this video so much, and Rotom is so under appreciated!

I think a cool Electric Ghost Type rotom form would be a Rotom in a Tazer. I know Rotom is Electric Ghost by default, but unlike any of its other forms, using Rotom's base form is effectively nerfing yourself, as Rotom's stats are only boosted when in one of the appliances. Rotom in a Tazer would make sense if, unlike Rotom's other forms, the Rotom does not become the Tazer itself, but rather taking the place of the electricity coming out of the Tazer, which would allow it to keep itself in a physically formless state, thus keeping its Ghost typing.

Dragon or Fairy type (or a combo of the two) for Rotom : a Spyro video game 🎮 Spyro is a dragon who’s friends with fairies in fact they actually made one level in Spyro the Dragon, (OG 1998 remade in Reignited 2018) High Caves, a tutorial on Supercharging with 3 fairies catching you if you fall so you don’t loose lives

For the bug type, I was surprised no one did an electric fly swatter

For the Fairy Type, I had an idea of Rotom Vanity or Rotom Mirror. Fairies are associated with beauty as well as small magical beings and what comes with beauty? Vanity! A vanity mirror is a mirror with lights all around it and I like the idea of Rotom being able to use dazzling gleam because of the lights surrounding it and even the reflection in its mirror.

Just had a thought Rotom Spirit box. Possessing a spirit box would work pretty well I think, Rotom would be it’s power source and possessing the box would allow Rotom to keep its Ghost type, and thus be able to learn Ghost-type moves!

I could see a smoke machine working for the poison type too. Bug should be a bug zapper and ground should be a drill.

A fun Bug type Rotom could be a listening device, known as the slang term 'bug'. I envision its arms turning into lightning shaped legs and antenna

For the Bug Type, I had an idea of Rotom Hive. The Hive is a central heating unit that heats your house. I like the idea of Rotom possessing it and instead of emitting heat, it emits pheromones to attract small bugs. I love the wordplay of Hive being a heating unit and not an actual bee Hive 😌

Really? Not a single fairy type that was Rotom in a cotton candy machine. Y'all missed an easy one.

It'd be cool if there was a Honchkrow of every type, based off of different hats. For the pokemon region I want to do based off Canada, he'd be wearing a toque, with his chest puff resembling like a parka. So, ice/flying

For the bug type, I think a butterfly raising kit would be adorable.

Rock-type Rotom would definitely be a grindle stone. After all, it doesn't crush stones, it uses them. As a Ground-type, one variant could be a sanding machine. I mean, it has a tape covered with super-hard sand, what's not to like here? And for Steel-type, I see an angle grinder. They are commonly used to cut metal, after all. But that's not all: the Steel type would have a Gigantamax form, which may fit even more. A huge industrial pneumatic hammer right from the forge shop!

The Beetle version of rotom might actually make sense in the next game because if you look close enough in the trailer for Scarlet & Violet the Pokemon Centers look like Gas Stations

Beetle Bug Rotom!!! ❤ For some reason when you mentioned Rotom and the Bug typing my mind went to a Bug Zapper... (Also that buzz saw's signature move better be Bug Buzz!)

the fairy type i came up with for rotom is a gumball machine form aka rogum. it’ll be able to shoot moon blast up to 3-5 times per turn. the bug type is an electric bug zapper thing that looks like a tennis racket(idk what it’s called)

I refuse to believe the fighting type wouldn't be an old Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots game, with all the animations to reference how they attack other robots.

I feel like TV form for Rotom should keep its Ghost type. Rotom forms have better stats, so that would be a boost + it would fit the lore of it being usually catchable by interacting with old TVs + "Ring" reference. Psychic type relates to psychic powers and light, so a lamp would fit probably fit it better. But also radio or computer or even Rotom Dex would perfectly fit it as well thanks to hypnosis and knowledge themes. Also for all the other forms - I feel like building concept out of the moves it will get (because every Rotom get signature move to use other forms can't learn) is the smart idea to do. That's why I feel like we should look at the moves. Rotom got mostly the super hard hitting moves with a negative effect like Overheat or Blizzard (low accuracy). The only exception being Fan Form, which actually has weaker Hax move (which I think is because we didn't have Hurricane back then and that's the strongest Flying move in Gen 5). Knowing that we could assume that other moves would try to follow that idea, unless they would add new moves. So Bug Type Rotom probably would have Bug Buzz, because X-Scissor and Megahorn are physical and not special moves. Which makes the Bug type Rotom more inclined to be sound based. A car would fit, radio, maybe even bug lure light, which also buzzes from bad quality bulb and all the bugs flying around.

Honestly love shop vac rotom. If Electric ground wasn't used with that another option I would love to see is Rotom Coffee Maker. It can have a signature move of Muddy Water too despite it being a water type move

honestly bug type rotom being a bug zapper was a HUUUUGE missed opportunity .

For the Steel Type, It is a Rice Cooker. And the Dark Type it is an old Cassette Tape. And the Poison Type it is a Oil Diffuser or a Sent Machine. And the Fighting Type it is a PlayStation.

I like a camera drone for bug type. Swiveling propellers would allow it to fly more like a bug than a bird; it could zip around in mid-air and hover in one place, rather than gliding and catching air currents. The sound of the propellers could also be used as an excuse to teach it Bug Buzz, as the rapid movement of the blades could be like the buzzing wings of an insect. The flash of the camera could be used to light up a room, or send signals. This would let it use moves like Signal Beam or Tail Glow, by mimicking the way fireflies use their lights. It would be a more Special focused bug type. But there could be room to justify moves like Lunge or First Impression, with the way it moves. Also, “drone” is a term that comes from comparing these flying machines to bugs. I think a camera drone would let Rotom use bug-like actions, and fit their whole deal.

for the videogame controllers for fighting type, one of then was a “fight stick” which is the portable arcade machine looking controller to play fighting games

Base Rotom is already Electric/Ghost, but if it kept this typing for a form, I'd choose a fog machine. The ones used on Halloween to make the spooky fog effect.

I remember that I drew a Switch Rotom a few years ago, but I can’t remember what type it was. I remember what I did was the Rotom had possessed a pair of Joy Cons, and instead of the little aura around the Rotom being the type, one side was red and the other was blue.

The “signature” move of pure Electric-type Rotom would probably be Parabolic Charge or Zap Cannon.

a toxctricity of EVERY (iconic) instrument, like piano (which would probably be a keytar), drums, violin, etc

Since Rotom gains a new Special move in each of its forms(except the Ghost one, for obvious reasons), here is what I would pick for all of the types shown in this video. Bug: Bug Buzz Dark: Night Daze Dragon: Dragon Pulse Electric: Zap Cannon Fairy: Dazzling Gleam Fighting: Aura Sphere Ground: Earth Power Normal: Boomburst Poison: Sludge Wave Psychic: Psychic Rock: Power Gem Steel: Flash Cannon Dark, Dragon, Fighting, Ground, Poison, Rock, and Steel don't have too many good Special moves considering I'm putting the minimum base power of the new move at 75 since that is Air Slash's base power. Electric was also a bit of a challenge to pick a good one, but that is because Rotom is inherently Electric type so I had to find one that Rotom doesn't learn already.

A bug Rotom idea: it possesses a remote/device that controls a SWARM of nano machines. It's face can be on the screen and the nano bots could float around it of make up its "body"

Google and Pokemon have collectively decided to torture my ocd of completion of a series. It began with dessert names for Android versions which was stopped midway. Then appearance of more eeveelutions is still on hiatus. To see Rotom and regis of each type feels like a distant dream now.

Now All We Need Is Someone To Make A Custom Pokémon Game

What if Rotom possesed animatronics? Or, even better, one of those animatronic dinosaurs you can find in amusement parks as it's Dragon type? The possibilities are endless, honestly!

My idea for psychic type: A smart speaker/assistant that's always listening. Alexa (and other devices) are always LISTENING, command words are only there to get them to respond. Similarly, it's eerie how Google and Facebook can "know" things you're interested in, even when it seems like you've only ever THOUGHT about the things. Several psychic-types are already known for sinister deeds, an abuse of telepathic power is easy to imagine. My idea for bug type: E-waste, pulled into an insectoid shape It has the added gimmick of having an ability similar to Wishiwashi's "Schooling." At different levels (every 20-ish levels, maybe?) the Rotom is able to pull in more trashed E-waste and upgrade its form and stats. It'd be even better if the middles stages (40-80 or so) are more like shambling mounds, with Rotom's silly grinning face on it, for effect.

I have an idea of fairy type Rotom that is a ferris wheel and when it is at that form, it'll prank on people who are on that ferris wheel by spinning faster or stay still, making them panic...
