Please, PLEASE don't tell me that Nintendo is going to try ANOTHER servey in order to modify the paper mario series again. The last time they did this we got sticker star, color splash, and oragami king, so I'd hope they don't skew the series back to how it wss going
Idea for a partner: one of the singing Piranha Plants from Wonder. Maybe they dream to be a Broadway star, and joins Mario's party because they believe that working alongside someone as famous as him would get them some recognition, getting them closer to their dream? Maybe their action commands would be little rhythm games, where you need to press buttons in time with the battle music? If this hypothetical game that they were included in had different battle themes for different areas, like The Origami King or the remake of The Thousand-Year Door, then the action commands you have to do in one area could be different to the action commands you have to do in another area
I have a duo of mario oc's who just like my other characters don't interact with the main crew One of them is a shark pi'lloian And the other is a blue shelled koopa and those two guys can fuse into a giant turtle kaiju ala anguirus when in trouble in the dream worlds and they even have bros moves
For Iris, Dragoons are mounted cavalry who dismount to fight on foot. Essentially highly mobile infantry, used initially in rapid response to internal threats like bandits, Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden introduced their use of axes alongside sabres and muskets, turning them into cheaper multipurpose units with inferior equipment to standard cavalry, however by the seven years war most regiments had transferred from mounted infantry to a Heavy Cavalry role. Britain uniquely renamed all horse regiments into Dragoons as a budgeting measure. Dragoons were also used in oppressive actions to keep people in line by billeting them in towns most notably where people were worshiping the same thing but supposedly incorrectly. Dragoon Regements are still around today used by many different countries, either mostly ceremonial or light armoured vehicles used for recconassance and scouting. If I were to make a dragoon pokemon, i'd lean more into that mounted infantry inspiration making it a fast Steel Dark type with a split evolution to replace dark with dragon but this works for the purposes of the premise. Then again that may just be my interpretation as someone who knows a little military history as opposed to Final fantasy
Heard Shellie’s name and IMMEDIATELY thought of Squirps from Super Paper Mario since his real name is crazy long and also he’s a prince. Dunno if that was an intentional reference or if it was maybe a play on the Octopus boss from Odyssey with the super long name bc like. The water theme. Heck even the colored pencils in PMTOK have a ridiculously long name. Maybr this is just a bit in mario games i didnt notice but the name def feels like smth u would see in the games
Mrs. Mouze is not a species specific to the Paper Mario Series it's the Little Mouser species that first appeared in Super Mario World 2: Yoshis Island as well as What being a Lil's Sparky that appeared way back in Super Mario World
This makes me want to make my own paper mario partners. Reminds me of the old days of deviantart where id search fan art of mario partners. Miss those days
