What you need is a sailboat. More room and a shower and full kitchen and 5 beds to sleep in and lots of headroom for the same price as that Dampervan, The good thing about sailing is you have WiFi, shower room, Washing room and security all in with the price when you come into a berth, And no bacon harassment to move on all the time.
"It was a different kind of day, and I'm okay with that. I'm sure tomorrow will be better." This is now my mantra for when life doesn't go as I anticipated. Thank you for sharing your journey, Hannah!
I was feeling really down about a lot of things today and it made me feel better to see an imperfect day, so although it was most definitely a hassle going down those bumpy roads, it did make one person feel a little better.. if that's any consolation. :) thanks for the real adventures
Elizabeth Carver -I laughed so hard as well. 😂 between the bumpy road and her bouncing all about and the stuff falling and rolling all about just had me laughing so hard.😂
I really appreciated seeing this this morning 🌄 I'm in CA and just trying to begin my vanlife journey. I got burned by a builder, so my van is usable, but incomplete. BUT, that won't stop me, no way. Lol 😆 I'm 63 yrs young and have traveled in my Motorhome in the past. But now, my dream of going back to my free spirit self is slowly coming together 💪🏽Right now I'm Beach surfing lol looking for the best and somewhat quiet places to park for a few days at a time until I finish Vandalé 🚌 She's a 2002 Ford econoline. But I totally appreciate you not trying to sugarcoat this journey! Today I woke up at the ocean and definitely one of the most amazing spot (less passing traffic) Your adorable. Thank you (I'm going to look back at your van build, it's awesome!!! 👍🏽
I was cracking up when all your stuff came flying out behind you 😂 PS please make your writing bigger next tine, for us who don't have the beat eyesight. I've no idea what half the captions said
6:05 i havent laughed so hard at a video for a long time -- it looks like you're going at like 90mph, the camera bouncing about wildly, things flinging themselves across the van the chaos is fabulous
I always think the fun of RU-vid videos is that we get to see other people's true lives that are completely different from ours, but nowadays very few people still keep it genuine and unfiltered. Your video felt true and real, so please keep it up like that! And thank you for sharing your van life with us🌞
I appreciate the honest look at the downside of van life, at the same time. Looks like some very stressful moments were had, interspersed with some very nice, quiet moments. I think that walking along an isolated stretch of Lake Superior beach to call my own for the night would make the rest quite worth it, at the end of the day.
Thank you for the real-ness. I’m living in my RV and there’s fun times, peaceful times, frustrating times, and times that I go - what the heck am I doing? 💕🌲🚐
Thank you... Thank you Hannah... your adventures here take me back to my driving seniors in from out in the middle of 'no where'... I have over 1million kms under my driving belt... The rain and wipers and flooding roads and all the mud bring back so many memories... Imagine having a senior beside you who desperately needs to get home from doctors or shopping and you were it to get them in and out... But I loved it... Thanks again for the blast from the past... a walk down memory lane :-) :-) :-)
Those back woods roads you need to crawl down those road IE 5 mph or less other wise you will break suspension components.......Advice from a Mechanic 🤟🏻🇺🇸
i love that when things didn't go as planned and you felt really defeated at moments, at the end of the day, when it had all passed, you just let it go. that's so important for young (and old) people to understand. let it go, tomorrow's a new opportunity. xo
this is honestly the best youtube video i've seen in 10 years your whole vibe is something along the lines of: going through with the idyllic lyfestyle and still being subtly pissed off about it, which i relate with but this particular video is just such a cool window into the actualities of #vanlyfe thanks for being a real person
I'm watching your videos backwards as I found you probs half year ago. I have to say thank you for being in this world. I love to see someone so honest.
Literally one of the funniest things I've seen in a while, you speeding forward in your shaking van as all of your dishes just fly off the shelves...hilarious
I live here in Michigan and those forest roads you have to drive VERY slow on. That was nuts! Sounds like you were heading toe]ward High Rock Bay near copper harbor in the Keewenaw peninsula . It is a beautiful area. I hope you get there. In Michigan you cannot camp on roads etc. But they will let you over night on the turnouts, but you have to leave the next day. This is only in the UP. In the LP they’re much more strict. I’m currently living in Port Austin. If you want privacy and to camp anywhere, head East to Drummond Island. Take the faery over and you can stay anywhere on state land. It is gorgeous and very private. All nature and one little bitty town.
Yesss girl! I love how you don’t have a “GO GO GO” attitude. It’s okay to take the scenic route or take time to weather through a storm instead of getting caught up in the chaos and freaking out. I’m aiming to live a slower life when I get my mobile home. Great, authentic video and good luck to you✨✨✨
Hannah - Towards the end of this video when you’re in your van getting ready for bed, numerous orbs appeared and floated all around you. Indicative of lots of other worldly energies (and/or angels) keeping watch over you. These honest video chronicles of your adventures and the realities and complications that occur are amazing to watch. Thanks for taking us all in RU-vidland along with you!
ALWAYS love your honesty. van life can fucking suck, it can be cramped and hot and so much shit can go wrong when your house breaks so easily. thank u for not painting a perfect picture all the time and for telling us the truth!
What a relief you got off those roads. As the other ladies were saying, I was worried for you too. Thanks for sharing your video content of your days are just fine. Stay safe 💕
Sameera Banu I see lots of van lifers with animals. They are all happy as long as they have steady people who love and take care of them. Dogs, in particular, are happy wherever their humans are.
@@belindaknowles7440 yes you sure might be right, I am not aware as I don't own dogs :) I actually saw it in a comment that they need a stable place so I just thought I would share :)
Major props to you for being strong enough to keep going! You are stronger than you give yourself credit for. You have prepared yourself better than you think. The comment about everything is meant to dropped on the floor proved that.
This has got to be my favourite 'Van Life' video ever, completely real with no filters, brilliant! You handled it all fantastically & better than most :-).
I greatly appreciate your authenticity, honesty and amazing perspective. You are an incredible person and I am grateful that you are sharing your journey.
I am so glad you shared this experience. Taught me that to keep going is fine and don't listen to others. I have had days like this but I usually have a laugh in the end, xO. Your amazing!
Weird! I just moved into my van full time, and On the first night I had dreams that people were trying to break into my van too, and that the van was destroyed! I wonder if this is a common occurrence..??
@@chloe-ev3qk It’s going great! So much has happened! Crazy awesome life! Been sleeping on the boardwalk of Chesapeake Beach for a while, and now I’m in Fayetteville, NC, soon to head back out to FLA with my new wife! God is good! How about you, sis? Blessings to you!
It is so good to see you laughing and smiling it's nice to enjoy company when the other person has as many things in common with you great to see you you made me smile be careful out there safe travel
Hi Hannah, way up close to the tip of the U.P. is where our property is at in the Keweenaw, between Eagle Harbor and Copper Harbor M26 on Lake Superior! You would be more than welcome to camp there anytime!! That would be totally awesome if you could come and visit and stay as long as you want!! Let me know!! Oh and by the way..the road out to High Rock gets way worse the closer you get to it, so yeah it's good you turned around!...but sometime you need to go out there though with a 4 wheel drive, it is absolutely beautiful and so worth the rough road to see all the beauty!!
The bumpy ride & everything falling on the floor, put a grin on my face. I'm a long distance truck driver. I don't get to go to the types of place you go, but I have cooked in my truck fo years. Sometimes, I'll forget to close a cabinet door & my truck sleeper will like like your van. Can't even guess how many times!
Next time you're in town, see if you can buy rain repellant - you put it on your windshield and it makes the rain bead up. It's way easier to see through (and it helps with fog and frost, too)
Every time you say ‘we’re off like a Hurd of turtles’ reminds me of my late father and gives me such joy. 🥲 Thank you for your candor of the reality of van life…life in general has its days.
So cool to see you in the Upper Peninsula! I have watched your videos for a while but have recently fallen behind, I am from Michigan, and seeing you here made me so happy!
I truly appreciate that Hannah is willing to show that life in a van isn’t always picture perfect. I honestly love it way more than the posers on social media, trying to frame van life as a less problematic existence when in reality life isn’t problem free. There will always be some bumps in the road, and I love it 💯
I've been through those days for sure. Vanlife is just like apartment life, it has it's good days and bad days, and they sometimes feel a lot more stressful especially when you worry where to park without getting the nock on the door. I feel you 100%. However it can be so amazing even with the hiccups!
Refreshing to see an honest video. Not everything is picture perfect. Well done for some reality. ❤️ I hope days like this are few and far between. I’m sure all the good days more than make up for an off day.xx good luck with your future travels.xx
Omg, you gotta slow down on the dirt roads! 😂 I totally understand the thing about weekends, and spending all day, or late at night on winding mountain roads looking for a spot to sleep.
I know everything was frustrating for her but I really needed this video while I’m laying in my bed depressed. Thanks for sharing even though nothing went right.
That top you have on gave me an idea to shorten the long sleeved silk shirts I've been holding onto forever. Looks comfortable, with the wide armhole. Beautiful scenery and I get fashion ideas, too!
Great video. Loved your final words that things can be really rough but you can still be happy. Some people would not get this. Thanks for sharing your journey. 🙏🏽🤍
Ive watched a few of your videos and I LOVE them, especially this one. I dunno why but at the end when you were talking it really resonated with me, Its the journey that matters and you can always find something good in everything and learn from whatever happens. THANKS For the videos!!
You really make a fluster cluck of a day fun and entertaining. Thanks for sharing and putting a smile on my face when we all really need it more than ever. Take care.
I'm living in my truck. (I sleep in the bed with a cap on it). I haven't ventured out from my town. I also got my day job to go too. The safest spot for me to park, within the last month, has been hotel parking lots. I've been contemplating what vehicle to buy to make this a year round thing. Would really like to do this in cognito. I've saved so much money, not having an apartment. I see you have a new place of your own. I think that is my new goal for the spring time. A cabin with land. Lol some times I'm like, forget about a new vehicle, ruff it out. The other side of me is like you need a vehicle you can sleep in incase you find that beautiful property. It's sort of like what came first the, chicken or the egg?😆😆
I find for myself that if you can laugh at the hilarity of the situations that you don’t have to get caught in anger. I get that you were looking for a peaceful spot but I tell ya the Greenery in that area is absolutely phenomenal!! Some of us poor saps stuck in concrete land can only dream of seeing that beauty. I live in Colorado and need to take more advantage of my surroundings. Love and Light 🙏❤️🙏
I love this video. And I love that you show the beautiful and frustrating things of life. You should do a video where you show all your camping gear and what you take in your backpack when you go camping. 😊❤️
you probably get so many comments like this, but I have to say that you are one of my biggest inspirations! I feel capable that I can do anything while before, I was always wanting to rely on someone else instead of myself. Watching your videos has certainly changed the way I see myself and I just want to go on an adventure, haha! You are seriously the coolest.
It’s good that you show all the bad as well as the good. Otherwise people might wonder why they have a hard time while others seem to have seen less trips. Keep up the videos. I’m a new subscriber ❤️🌹
Do you also work or own a business? also what's the cost of u liveing in your van ruffly becauae I want to do it but I want it as my full time home with internet and stuff
Thanks for showing your experiences as they are and not trying to over glam it, this is the sort of perspective i've been looking for as someone interested in making the change but well aware that not all days will be picture perfect and not all adventures will lead to the place i need to go. Hope you have some brighter days :)
Omg! I live in the UP and this is real life! 🤣 The weather seriously changes every five minutes. The backroads are crazy but I am so glad you made it through. May your next visit be a smoother ride. 😉
i sometimes feel like everyone else's life is perfect except mines, especially with van life and im relieved to see its not all sunshine and rainbows haha great thing is that after days like these, you appreciate good days a bit more ~ love ur honesty!!
I don’t know if you know this but at the end of this your sitting in your van getting ready for bed. But you had so many orbs around you, that is so cool to have loved ones protection.
That weather looks like Florida, that's a daily experience. Getting lost and having the satisfaction of finding your way trumps the struggle. I use to get lost driving Florida and had a huge road map to find my way home hours after taking off in a random direction.
This was maybe the best video I've ever seen on RU-vid. It was an emotional thrill ride. I laughed my ass off and then I seriously shed a tear when you were dancing around in the water with your cider after your shit storm of a day
Don’t apologize sweetie. Hubby and I have done just what you’ve done going down bumpy roads many, many times over the forever years of camping and we’ve found so many beautiful secret spots. If we hadn’t, we would have missed out on some of the best times of our life, and that would be sad. It’s good to push ourselves sometimes. The more we push our limits, the more we grow, the more we grow, the more better we are at handling stressors. I’m glad you found a spot to sleep. Muchblove 💕🔆🪔🕊
I am happy that you all showing all aspects of van life I realize is not always great but you are free I think if I were you I would plan a little better where I was going to go but that is just me I’ve had hassles my whole life and I’m 69 so living in a house you hav headache too but I am sending love and prayers your way for you to be happy you just look so sad it is ok and will be ok ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🌈🌈🌈
Girl you are hilarious! I'm always smiling throughout all your videos, but this one made me BURST out in laughter when you & your things were all flying around in the van//when you were peacefully eating your salad & turned to us to tell us it was soggy. I truly felt terrible for laughing, but I'm glad you're okay!
