@mynzelah6883 thanks for your feedback! I use some procedural tricks with tiling scales and a kit I built myself to make it easier and you can see when I painted black and white where I wanted scales of various size to go. Black being largest, white being smallest. Then I just clean up where the different zones meet. Saves lots of time! :) Also, blender sculpting and texturing with substance is a great workflow! 👍
@taezrr8580 Thank you so much! I just learned how to make my own brushes from other people's youtube videos! 😆 There are some nice "scale kits" on Artstation's market and other 3d stores. I share my kit with my patrons but I'm meaning to put it up for sale when I finish the demo lizard that appears in this video. There's really great tutorials on making your own tiling textures, vdm brushes etc. tho, and it's really not that hard to do. :)
