Who were the other 5 drivers who made the playoffs? I’d assume Almirola, Bowyer, Byron, Larson and Newman still?

Only covering one race in a what if on this scale is kinda disappointing. Wish you would cover starting from the divergence point into modern day.

Since this is a timeline unlike any other, here's my hypothetical take on what happens next. Yes, I'm bringing back these comments that I did on early Racing Infinity episodes on what ifs that could have changed NASCAR over time, like the first What If Dale Earnhardt Jr Went To Joe Gibbs Racing episode and the What If Dale Earnhardt Was Still Alive episode. I initially did this just to give my take on a possibility that could have happened because of events that happened in that Racing Infinity episode. However, as time went on, I kind of stopped doing that. Because number one, trying to do that on the What if Dale Earnhardt Went To Robert Yates Racing episode, when you have so many more years to cover, after doing the first six years of the timeline, it kind of got tiring for me to do any more years. And number two, once Dale Jr. at JGR got a sequel, it kind of made my original hypothetical theory redundant. So I pretty much stopped doing that. However, now that I think about it, I really miss making up hypothetical scenarios on what's next. But I also know that this could take some time. So here's what I'll do. I will talk about the rest of the 2019 playoffs, who wins, who advances, who's eliminated, and ultimately who wins the championship. After that, I'll discuss what happens from 2020 through today. I'll probably tackle silly season and who won the races. However, for 2020 on forward, I probably won't discuss the playoffs in detail except for the drivers in the Championship 4 and the champion, as that would probably take too much time. As time goes on, I'll probably give updates, and do this to a number of other Racing Infinity episodes as time permits. And again, as I always say when I comment my predictions on what happens next in a timeline, don't take my predictions seriously. This is just a hypothetical theory on what I think would happen.

2020 Silly Season 1. Daniel Hemric stays in the 8 for RCR, while Tyler Reddick continues to drive the 1 for Ganassi. 2. Daniel Suarez stays in the 19 for one more year. 3. Because Christopher Bell drives the 18 car, Leavine Family Racing calls up Brandon Jones. Jones will compete for Rookie of the Year. 4. Matt Tifft stays with Front Row Motorsports. 5. Kyle Larson still gets released from the Ganassi 42 for saying a racial slur during an Iracing stream during the shutdown. However, instead of Matt Kenseth taking over the 42, it's Ross Chastain. 2021 Silly Season 1. Matt Tifft and Daniel Hemric swap rides, with Tifft going to RCR's No. 8, while Hemric goes to the 36 Front Row car. 2. Leavine Family Racing does not fold after 2020, so Brandon Jones will continue to pilot the #95 Toyota. 3. Tyler Reddick continues to drive the #1 car for Chip Ganassi Racing. 4. Both Daniel Suarez and Erik Jones leave Joe Gibbs Racing for Trackhouse and Richard Petty Motorsports like normal. However, since Martin Truex Jr. is still at KBM and Christopher Bell is already at JGR driving the 18 car, Gibbs decides to call up two of their prospects. Riley Herbst will pilot the #19 Toyota, while Harrison Burton gets the call to the Cup Series a year early, and will drive the #20 Toyota. Both Herbst and Burton will compete for Rookie of the Year. 5. Three new full time teams debut in the Cup Series. However, while Justin Marks and Pitbull still open up Trackhouse Racing, because Toyota already has their second flagship team, as well as LFR staying open for the forseeable future, 23XI Racing doesn't open. Live Fast Motorsports also never opens, since B.J. McLeod decides to focus on his Xfinity team. Instead, the other two teams to debut in the Cup Series in 2021 are Kaulig Racing and JD Motorsports. A.J. Allmendinger will return to the Cup Series to drive the #16 Chevrolet full time for Kaulig after spending the last two years with their Xfinity team, while Bubba Wallace will drive the #0 Chevrolet for Johnny Davis.

2022 Silly Season 1. Chip Ganassi Racing does not get bought out by Trackhouse Racing. So Tyler Reddick and Ross Chastain will continue to drive the #1 and #42 Ganassi Chevrolets for the forseeable future. 2. Ryan Preece stays with JTG Daugherty driving the 37 car. 3. Aric Almirola leaves the #10 Stewart Haas Racing car and moves over to the Wood Brothers, driving their iconic #21 Ford. 4. Since Ganassi still has the #42, Petty GMS sticks with their original plan and field the #94 for their second car. They pick up Justin Haley, who has been putting decent results in his last few part time Cup races. 5. Because Justin Haley is with Petty GMS, Kaulig taps Matt DiBenedetto to drive their #31 Chevrolet, being teammates with A.J. Allmendinger 6. After being let go from Front Row Motorsports, Anthony Alfredo moves over to Stewart Haas Racing to drive the #10 Ford, replacing Aric Almirola. 7. Brandon Jones continues to race for Leavine Family Racing in the #95 Toyota. 8. Riley Herbst and Harrison Burton are still in their #19 and #20 JGR Toyotas. 9. Bubba Wallace still drives for Johnny Davis. 10. Matt Tifft is in the #8 at Richard Childress Racing still. 11. Daniel Hemric is still at Front Row driving the 36. 12. Kurt Busch does not have his career ending crash during qualifying at Pocono, so he will finish the season in the #97 Toyota for his brother Kyle Busch.
