Garver is really good at working the count. Even if he doesn't get on he makes the pitcher waste a lot of pitches on him.

We’ve only seen glimpses of it so far, but Garver is actually really good in general. I hope we stick with him because I believe he’s gonna figure it out. I think year two and hopefully a good chunk of this year in Seattle can be great for him.

I like that Luis Castillo actually had some solid run support this time, so he could afford to bring not-his-best for once. Too often Mariners games have been won only because of elite pitching, it's nice to see the bats win a game for once 😅

Big series win to climb back to 1st in the AL West. Rangers got swept by the Rockies which is a fun thing to see. Julio want deep and if not for the wind would have gotten a 2nd blast which is even better to see. Great start to the homestand, hopefully take 2 of 3 from the Royals to extend the division lead.

Julio looked too upright in his trigger stance this season but today he looked more crouched like he looked prior to this year. I think he got some bad hitting instruction in the offseason. In fact, I think the whole team got bad hitting instruction. They should just go back to what they know.
