Hello from Nueva Gorgona. The winter months - that’s was the whole reason to try out Panama. I did live up North in Canada. After a work related accident, I couldn’t stand 6-7 months of freezing temperatures. Originally from Germany, I was thinking of going back. A friend of mine, Panamanian suggested that I try out his home country. Well. I really don’t miss my snowblower! 😂
Juan says you must have a good reason to leave your country. Also being a South African , there are many reasons (unfortunately) to leave SA...crime , corruption , safety and high medical costs being some. Thanks for a very informative video. The dragon orchid nursery in Cerró punta is a must see. 15 km from volcán if you go to volcán and don’t go to cerró punta, you blew it. It’s a wonderland.

Ecuador has had a problem with violence for a long time. That's why I picked Panama as the place to relocate to. Panama has seen no increase in violence. Colon is the town with the most crime ( usually drug related) in Panama so just stay away from there.
Very stable. Panama is getting a lot of rain now. Instead of the usual 36 ships a day, 33 ships a day are going thru the Canal. It's not as drastic as some news outlets portray.
You need to be eligible to get a visa which means that you need to prove that you have at lease $1000 USD per month in lifetime income to get a Pensionado Visa. Since Kenya is not on the list of Friendly Nations, you would not qualify for that visa.
ha ha. A Panama Relocation Tour client just rented a three bedroom house for $550 in Alto Boquete. Another one rented a one bedroom house for $400 near San Francisco Plaza. And anther couple rented a two bedroom house on an acre on Volcancito for $700. Limecraker on Volcancito rental available for $525 on Volcancito road too. If those prices are too high for you, you can go down to Dolega or Los Algarrobos where you can rent houses all day long for less than $400
@@PanamaRelocationTours the fact you only talk about "rent" says it all. I live in downtown Panama City. Have for 18!years. My wife's family is from Panama. I BOUGHT my current apartment overlooking most of the city for $320k, brand new SUV a 10 year old in private school and a 21 year old back in the states at university. I know the REAL cost of things THROUGHOUT the country. I'm not a business. I'm a disabled veteran living on disability pay, so yeah... I know how to spend my money wisely.
@@Papz2theDome great Panamanian restaurants for $5 a meal. Super sweet pineapples $1 each vs $7 in the US. Panama Health insurance for $102 a month. My electric bill is $25 in Panama vs $350 a month in Texas. Home insurance in Panama is $250 a year vs $1500 a year in the US. Doctor visit $15 in Panama vs $250 in the US. Cell phone $30 a month in Panama vs $200/month for the same options in the US. The list goes on and on. Panama City is more expensive than the rest of Panama but compared to a metro city in North America, Panama a bargain. If Panama City is too expensive for you, consider moving to the interior where it is much more affordable.
@@PanamaRelocationTours For many of us living in the interior, it seems like prices have gone up. I have been here since 2009, and yes, prices are way up. I have not been back to the US since I moved here and will not go back. However, prices have more than doubled since 2009 when I first moved here. It's shocking how much prices have gone up in Panama City. I understand what the man is talking about who lives in Panama City. Yes, it probably is cheaper in the interior than anywhere you could live in the US. You have to visit and see for yourself whether it is worth making the changes needed to adapt to a new culture.
Nice try. Panama is very affordable... What it isn't is cheap if you want to live an upper middle class US style of life... although even that is cheaper than it now is in the USA. I have been here more than twenty years and it is now much more costly to live, but then so is the USA. At least medical care, utility a, and insurance is cheaper here
