This is Amazing. I'm a disabled retired Canadian Army officer and DCS is helping me to deal with my physical and mental health challenges. I'll be reaching out to see how I could possibly join this like-minded community ! Many thanks for this show. This means alot!
I fought in Afghanistan as an Army Infantryman. This sim has changed my life and helped immensely. I get really aggravated when the BMS cult spends all their time crapping all over it.
I'm right there with you brothers, deployed to Iraq, East Timor and Afghanistan with the Australian Army. LOVE the DCS community and would love to help in ANYWAY I could.
You are 100% right. The DCS community is a great life-line to many. I'm not disabled, but it helped me for many years to last out a bad relationship (Call it a mental disability). Thank you to all of you.
We are now at over 200 and growing, we received our Projects Director from this and our awesome web dev so We are so humbled by this community Thank you Again Community
I’m not a veteran but I am disabled. My condition is a progressive condition so I haven’t always needed to use a wheelchair but when I did I locked myself inside and wouldn’t leave out of embarrassment. It was always my dream to be a fighter pilot but obviously that wasn’t on the cards for me but dcs has allowed me to experience my dream and I’ll always love dcs for that! What you guys are doing is incredible Towbie! You are real heroes! Stop the stigma!
I'm only 2 minutes in. Pretty much home-bound - thankfully by anxiety; I still have my legs - and needed to come say how important this is. DCS has provided me focus, entertainment, therapy and community, where I wouldn't have these things. I've lost a lot. But gained quite a bit through DCS. I'm getting my mind back together - and keeping up some hope. Thanks all who have made DCS community what it is. The mature, caring, hospitable, teaching people, who brought me in and held my hand while learning new gear. Thanks to all you who served, much respect and support to those who sacrificed the most
Brilliant idea! I'm not disabled but I'm well past 50 and, indeed, I struggle with health issues all the time that kinda put me on the borderline in our health service, it's just a matter of time. I find DCS a wonderful escape, even though my issues mean I'm not exactly Top Gun. Wonderful thing to be doing.
