The Queen's Own Rifles of Canada is a Primary Reserve regiment of the Canadian Armed Forces, based in Toronto, Ontario. The regiment is part of 4th Canadian Division's 32 Canadian Brigade Group of the Canadian Army. It is the oldest continuing and only reserve regiment in Canada to have a parachute role. The regiment consists of the battalion, the regimental association, and the regimental band. The official abbreviation is QOR of C, but the name is often abbreviated to QOR.

As a Royal Canadian Army Cadet who serves in the 2882 Queen's Own Rifles of Canada and as the next generation of soldiers I salut to my regiment for everything they done for this country. My god bless and take care of the fallen. -A RCAC riflemen

My Grandfather, Harry McCabe served in this regiment

Mt father, Murray Milburn, served with Harry Mccabe! The context escapes me but he had a standing joke with your grampa to mis pronounce his name as "mak - a - bee" I think he was in dad's Company The Buffs. Harry may still have been with the Regiment when I was there, briefly, in 1980/81. Was he a supply company tech? Seems he issued my uniform which was when we chatted about dad. Cheers!

Surprised they (in Battle Honours) They did not mention The Battle of Ridgeway in Southern Ontario. Where they had 9 our there Killed in action against the Fenian (Fenian raids from US 2 June 1866) Knew and still know soldier who served and served in QOR!

And who are you to say such a thing and insult a military unit of Her Majesties Canadian Army? I will be sending this comment ( including your name user name or not) to all I know who served and do serve with Queens Own Rifles! I suggest no matter your thoughts you make a very public apology to all who have and do serve in QOR and the Regiment! It is an insult to QOR and Canada as a Nation and British Empire / Commonwealth!
